Missions Red Dead Redemption 2 Missions

Chapter 1 - Colter

After a failed robbery, the gang have fled from Blackwater into the Grizzly Mountains, but a late spring storm has left them half frozen and starving. They hole up in an abandoned mining town to lick their wounds and await a break in the weather.

1Outlaws From the West Story Mission This is the first storyline mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. After finding a shelter in an abandoned mining village, you and Dutch head out in search of supplies and two other gang members who went on scouting a little earlier.
2Enter, Pursued by a Memory Story Mission You will receive this mission automatically at the end of the Outlaws From the West mission. Abigail will ask Arthur and Javier to check what happened to John, who did not return from a scouting mission.
3Old Friends Story Mission To begin this mission, you must complete the Enter, Pursued by a Memory mission and then go to one of the houses in Colter (look for Bill Williamson marker on the map) where you will meet the rest of your gang.
4The Aftermath of Genesis Story Mission To begin this mission, you must complete the Enter, Pursued by a Memory mission and then talk to Mr. Pearson. He will inform you of the shortage of supplies.
5Who the Hell is Leviticus Cornwall? Story Mission This mission starts automatically when you complete both The Aftermath of Genesis and Old Friends missions.
6Eastward Bound Story Mission With renewed strength and the weather finally stable, the gang ride down from the mountains to set up camp at Horseshoe Overlook.

Chapter 2 - Horseshoe Overlook

After a break in the weather, the gang have headed down from the mountains, and are now hiding at Horseshoe Overlook.

2Good, Honest, Snake Oil Side Mission This mission will be available upon completion of the Polite Society, Valentine Style mission. To begin it, go to the Valentine Sheriff's office.
3The Noblest of Men, and a Woman Stranger Mission To start this mission, you should talk to the biographer Theodore Levin, you will find him in the Saloon in Valentine.
4Americans at Rest Story Mission To begin this mission, enter the Smithfield's Saloon in Valentine and approach Javier and Charles who are standing by the bar accompanied by two women. After a while another member of your gang, Bill, will enter the saloon and the brawl will begin.
5Who is Not Without Sin Story Mission In order to start this mission you have to complete the Eastward Bound mission and then talk to Swanson. You'll find him at Flatneck station in the back of one of the buildings.
6Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego Story Mission In order to start this mission you have to complete the Polite Society, Valentine Style mission, and then talk to Hosea Matthews. You'll find him in your camp at Horseshoe Overlook.
7Paying a Social Call Story Mission In order to start this mission you have to complete the Americans at Rest mission and then interrogate Kieran, whom you caught on the Old Friends mission. You will find him tied to a tree trunk in your camp at Horseshoe Overlook.
8A Quiet Time Story Mission To start this mission you need to complete the Paying a Social Call mission and then talk to Dutch. You will find him in his tent in the Horseshoe Overlook camp. After a while, Lenny's gonna join you and tell you about arresting one of your gang members - Micah.
9Blessed are the Meek? Story Mission In order to start this mission you have to complete A Quiet Time mission, and then visit the jail in Strawberry. You can go inside and talk to the law officers or go straight to the window of the cell where Micah is being held.
10Money Lending and Other Sins I - III Story Mission In order to start this mission you have to complete the Americans at Rest mission and then talk to Leopold Strauss. You will find him in your camp at Horseshoe Overlook.
11The Spines of America Story Mission In order to start this mission, you must first complete Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego and Money Lending and Other Sins I - III missions and then go to the Emerald Ranch and talk to Hosea. You will find him near the barn, chatting with Seamus.
12The First Shall be Last Story Mission To start this mission you must first complete the Americans at Rest mission and then head north of Blackwater to find Javier and Charles who are watching the city from the hill.
13We Loved Once and True I - III Story Mission At some point in the game, Arthur will receive a letter from his old love, Mary Linton. The letter will be waiting for him in the camp on the table in his tent.
14Pouring Forth Oil I-III Story Mission This mission will be available after the completion of The First Shall be Last mission. When you return to your camp, one of the ladies will tell you that John Marston needs to speak to you. Find him and talk to him.
15A Fisher of Men Story Mission Once you have completed the Pouring Forth Oil I-III mission, you will be able to talk to Abigail, whom you will find in your camp. She will ask you for a small favor - she wants you to take little Jack out on a fishing trip.
16An American Pastoral Scene Story Mission To be able to start this mission, you must first release Micah from prison in the Blessed are the Meek? mission and then wait a little while until the mission marker appears on the map. In my case it was when I completed the Pouring Forth Oil I-III mission.

20All That Glitters Stranger Mission You can start this mission by purchasing a treasure map from the famous traveller Máximo Cristóbal Valdespino. At the beginning he will offer it for $10. If you wait a bit or decline his offer then he will bring it down to $5. In case you waited too long, scared him away, or killed him, you can buy this map from any fence vendors.
21Smoking and Other Hobbies Stranger Mission To receive this mission, you must first complete the Who is Not Without Sin mission and then return to Flatneck Station. Then you will meet Phineas T. Ramsbottom there, who'll offer you a reward for finding a complete sets of cards.
22A Test of Faith Stranger Mission In order to receive this mission you need to find and talk to Deborah MacGuiness. You will find her to the west and a little to the north of Flatneck Station. After you help her load the dinosaur bone on her wagon, she will ask you to help her find more of them.
23Geology for Beginners Stranger Mission To start this mission you must find and talk to Francis Sinclair. You will find him near his cabin to the northwest of Strawberry.
24Arcadia for Amateurs Stranger Mission To start this mission, find Albert Mason, the man who is trying to photograph wildlife. During the conversation the coyote will steal his bag and your task will be to get it back.
25The Smell of the Grease Paint Stranger Mission To begin this mission you must go to the saloon in the Van Horn Trading Post and talk to Miss Marjorie. Miss Marjorie tries to find out from her companion, mentally handicapped man named Bertram, where the third member of their team is hiding, but he doesn't want to tell her. During the conversation, Bertram, will try to choke the bartender and you will have to take action.
26A Fisher of Fish Stranger Mission To meet Jeremy Gill, you must first complete the A Fisher of Fish mission and then head to Flat Iron Lake. You will find him standing at the pier next to his cabin.
27American Dreams Stranger Mission To unlock this mission, you need to visit 3 murder scenes and collect killer clue notes (map fragments) from the cut-off heads of the victims. Click on the links below to find out where each clue is located:
28A Fine Night For It Stranger Mission In order to be able to start this mission you must first come across Night Folk at least once. You can meet them at night around Lake Lagras. After that, during the night you'll be able to meet Old Cajun sitting by the fire. Agree to help the man reclaim his property from Night Folk.

Chapter 3 - Clemens Point

The gang got run out of Valentine after an altercation with the railway magnate, Leviticus Cornwall, who has grown tired of having his trains robbed by gangs of outlaws. Afraid that the routes westwards were being watched by Pinkerton agents, the gang moved south and east and are now hiding at Clemens Cove, near the town of Rhodes.

In the camp, you'll find Sadie and Mr. Pearson arguing with each other. Arthur will intervene.
3Money Lending and Other Sins IV Side Mission You will be able to start this mission after completing The New South mission. To do this, talk to Leopold Strauss, who you will find in your new camp at Clemens Point. Strauss will ask you to recover the debt from two more people.
4American Distillation Story Mission You will be able to begin this mission shortly after The New South mission has been completed. To do this, go to the Rhodes Sheriff's Office where you will meet Dutch, Bill and Sheriff Gray. The sheriff will ask you to destroy the moonshine camp in the woods and will temporarily make you his deputies.
5An Honest Mistake Story Mission To start this mission, you must first complete the American Distillation mission and then talk to Molly O'Shea. You will find her in your camp at Clemens Point.

8The Course of True Love I - II Story Mission In order to start this mission you must first complete The New South mission and then a new marker will appear on the map, pointing you to the Caliga Hall.
9The Course of True Love III Story Mission In order to start this mission, you must first complete The Course of True Love I - II mission and then deliver the letter that Penelope gave you to Beau.
10Advertising, the New American Art Story Mission To start this mission you need to complete two missions: American Distillation and The Course of True Love III and then go to your camp and talk to Abigail. She will tell you that Hosea wants to meet you and that he is waiting for you by the moonshine stash.
11Horse Flesh for Dinner Story Mission To begin this mission, talk to the guards at the main gate of the estate. They will inform you that you will find your partners near the stable.
12The Fine Joys of Tobacco Story Mission Dutch told you to meet up with Hosea and Sean at Braithwaite Manor while they ingratiate themselves.

15Blessed are the Peacemakers Story Mission To start this mission, talk to Micah, who you will find near the Dutch tent in your camp. He has a message saying that Colm O'Driscoll wants to meet Dutch. Although you all agree that it's probably a trap, Dutch, Micah and you decide to go to the meeting.
16A Short Walk in a Pretty Town Story Mission To start this mission you must complete the Blessed are the Peacemakers mission and then meet Bill, Sean and Micah, who will be waiting for you near the bank in Rhodes.
17Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern Story Mission To begin this mission, complete A Short Walk in a Pretty Town mission and return to your camp in order to speak with Dutch.
18The Battle of Shady Belle Story Mission This mission will start automatically when the Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern mission is completed. You, Dutch, John and other gang members discuss what to do next to find Jack, when suddenly uninvited guests - the Pinkertons - appear in your camp and have an offer for you.
19The Iniquities of History Stranger Mission You can start this mission when you reach the third act of the game. When you complete the Preaching Forgiveness as He went mission, then you will be able to meet and talk to Jeremiah Compson. You will find him sleeping on a bench in front of the Rhodes train station.
20No Good Deed Stranger Mission In order to receive this mission you must first complete the The Course of True Love III mission and then talk to the Alphonse Renaud who you will find sitting in Rhodes. Arthur decides to recover the wagon that was stolen from him.
21He's British, of Course Stranger Mission Starting with Chapter 3, Arthur can find a broken circus caravan and a man named Margaret sitting on it. When you speak with him, the man asks you to find exotic animals that have escaped.

Chapter 4 - Saint Denis

Things ended poorly in Rhodes. The Pinkertons showed up again, and little Jack Marston was kidnapped.

5The Artist's Way Stranger Mission In order to start this mission you need to complete The Joys of Civilization mission and then talk to Charles Châtenay who you will find sitting at the bar in the Doyle's Tavern in Saint Denis. Buy him a drink, he will tell you a little bit about his life, and before you leave, he will give you one of his drawings.
6A Bright Bouncing Boy Stranger Mission In order to start this mission you need to complete The Joys of Civilization mission and then talk to Marko Dragic. He can be found near the pond in Saint Denis. Professor will ask you to take part in a demonstration of his invention for his potential investors.
7Brothers and Sisters, One and All Stranger Mission Shortly after you have completed your first mission for Brother Dorkins, Help a Brother Out, you will be able to meet him again near a small church in the northeastern part of Saint Denis where he and Sister Calderon teach homeless children how to read.
8The Mercies of Knowledge Stranger Mission In order to start this mission you need to complete The Joys of Civilization mission and then talk to Andrew Bell III who you will find on the northern outskirts of the city of Saint-Denis.
9The Ties That Bind Us Stranger Mission In order to start this mission, you must first complete The Joys of Civilization mission (Chapter 4) and then go to Rhodes and talk to Mr. Black & Mr. White.
10Fatherhood and Other Dreams Side Mission After completing the Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor mission, you will receive another letter from Mary. You will find this letter on the table in your room in Shady Belle.
11The Gilded Cage Story Mission In order to start this mission you have to return to your camp in Shady Belle and talk to Hosea after completing Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor mission.
12A Fine Night of Debauchery Story Mission You will be able to start this mission after completing The Gilded Cage mission. To do this, talk to Trelawny, who you will find next to the tailor's shop in Saint Denis.
13American Fathers Story Mission After completing The Gilded Cage mission you will be able to meet Evelyn Miller who is trying to help an Indian chief named Rains Fall and his son Eagle Flies.
14Money Lending and Other Sins V Side Mission You will be able to start this mission after completing The Joys of Civilization mission. To do this, talk to Leopold Strauss, who you will find in your new camp at Shady Belle. Strauss will ask you to recover the debt from a fisherman named Algie Davison.

Chapter 5 - Guarma

2A Kind and Benevolent Despot Story Mission In order to start this mission you need to complete the Welcome to the New World mission and then talk to the Dutch who is waiting for you near the waterfall.
3Savagery Unleashed Story / Stranger Mission To start the mission, go to the area marked on the map and look for a hanged man. When you approach it, you will be hit by a poisoned arrow and will lose consciousness shortly afterwards.
4Hell Hath No Fury Story Mission This mission will start automatically when A Kind and Benevolent Despot and Savagery Unleashed missions have been completed.
5Paradise Mercifully Departed Story Mission This mission will start automatically after completing the Hell Hath No Fury mission. Before you can leave the island, you must destroy the cannons, which are a threat to your ship and rescue its captain.
6Dear Uncle Tacitus Story Mission This mission begins automatically after completing the Paradise Mercifully Departed mission. Arthur will come ashore at the Van Horn Trading Post.
7Fleeting Joy Story Mission This mission begins automatically after completing the Dear Uncle Tacitus mission. When you get to Lakay, you'll meet the rest of your gang there.
8A Fork in the Road Story Mission This mission is not marked on the map. It can be triggered at the end of chapter 5 or early in chapter 6. You will receive it when you go to Saint Denis to meet Sadie Adler. Once you arrive near the Icarus and Friends mission area, Arthur will start coughing violently until he passes out. When you wake up, you will find yourself being dragged by a stranger through the streets. He'll say you don't look well, and will lead you to a doctor.
9That's Murfree Country Story Mission You will be able to start this mission after completing the Fleeting Joy mission. To do this, talk to Dutch, who you will find sitting on a chair next to one of the buildings in Lakay. He will tell you to take Charles and scout a location in Roanoke Ridge, past Butcher Creek in order to establish a camp in that area.

Chapter 6 - Beaver Hollow

The gang, or what is left of it were reunited at Lakay, but was quickly assaulted by a squad of Pinkertons.

1Icarus and Friends Story Mission To start this mission go to Doyle's Tavern in Saint Denis where you will meet Sadie Adler. You will talk to her for a moment about the latest events, etc., and then you will go outside and go towards your horses.
2Do Not Seek Absolution I Side Mission This mission will be available only if your honor is high enough (honor bar filled in ~75%). You will then be able to find and talk to Mrs. Downes, who works as a prostitute in Annesburg.
3Do Not Seek Absolution II Side Mission The next day, after completing Do Not Seek Absolution I mission, you will be able to meet Archie again, who still hasn't left the town.
4Visiting Hours Story Mission In order to start this mission you must complete the Icarus and Friends mission and then go to Copperhead Landing. At the marina you will meet Sadie and Abigail talking to each other.
5Just a Social Call Story Mission To begin this mission, complete the Visiting Hours mission and then go to Annesburg. There you will meet Micah, and Dutch who will join you shortly after.
6A Rage Unleashed Story Mission You can start this mission after completing the Just a Social Call mission. To do this, talk to Reverend Swanson. You will find him in your camp in the Beaver Hollow camp.
7Archeology for Beginners Story Mission You will be able to start this mission if at the end of A Rage Unleashed mission you agreed to talk to and help Rains Fall. Then you should go to the Wapiti Indian Reservation and visit the chief in his tent.
8Honor, Amongst Thieves Story Mission You will be able to start this mission after completing the Archeology for Beginners mission, if you agreed to help Captain Monroe when he asked you to do so. To do this, return to the Wapiti Indian Reservation and talk to the captain.
9The Delights of Van Horn Story Mission This mission is unlocked after completing the Just a Social Call mission. To start it, go to the place marked on the map, where near the abandoned house you will meet Micah and Bill.
10The Course of True Love IV - V Side Mission You will be able to start this mission after reaching Chapter 6 of the game. You will receive a letter from Penelope Braithwaite which will be waiting for you on the table in your tent in the Beaver Hollow camp.
11Money Lending and Other Sins VI - VII Side Mission After completing That's Murfree Country mission, you will receive another task to recover the debt from two more people. To receive it, talk to Leopold Strauss, who is sitting on a tree trunk near the camp.
12The Wisdom of the Elders Stranger Mission To start this mission you have to find the man named Lemuel laying under the bridge. The man keeps repeating the words "Butcher's Creek", so Arthur decides to take him there. You will be able to find this man when you reach chapter six of the game.
13Goodbye, Dear Friend Story Mission In order to start this mission you have to complete A Rage Unleashed mission and then go to Saint Denis where in the Doyle's Tavern you will meet Sadie and Dutch preparing to see Colm being hanged.
14The Bridge to Nowhere Story Mission In order to start this mission, you must first complete The Delights of Van Horn mission and then go to the Bacchus Bridge where John will be waiting for you next to the wagon with the dynamite.
15Favored Sons Story Mission You will be able to start this mission some time after completing the Goodbye, Dear Friend mission. To do this, go to the place northeast of Valentine where Dutch and Eagle Flies are preparing to ambush a military patrol. Their plan is to use the dynamite to trap the soldiers heading through the canyon, and then humiliate them by tarring and feathering them.
16The Fine Art of Conversation Story Mission After completing the Honor, Amongst Thieves mission, return to your camp and talk to Trelawny. Your conversation will not be long becouse he is about to leave the camp.
17Of Men and Angels Stranger Mission This short mission will be available in Chapter 6 of the game if you have completed the Brothers and Sisters, One and All mission in Chapter 4. To start this mission, go to Saint Denis and talk to Sister Calderon, who you will find near the church where she collects donations for the poor.
18The King's Son Story Mission In order to start this mission, you must complete the The Fine Art of Conversation and the Favored Sons missions, return to the Wapiti Indian Reservation and talk to Charles. He will tell you that you should talk to the chief.
19The Veteran Stranger Mission To start this mission, you need to find and talk to Hamish Sinclair, the war veteran you will find sitting by the rock. He will ask you to help him recover his horse and the prosthetic leg he lost after the horse got spooked by the snake.
20Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow Story Mission To start this mission you have to complete the Goodbye, Dear Friend mission, and then you should talk to Sadie, whom you will find near your camp, where she practises knife throwing. She will ask you to go to Hanging Dog Ranch with her and finish off the O'Driscolls once and for all. You can agree to help her or refuse. If you agree to go with her, your honor will increase and you will be able to do the second part of this mission. You can choose whether you want to go with her immediately or you will reach the ranch by yourself.
21My Last Boy Story Mission You will be able to start this mission after completing The King's Son and The Bridge to Nowhere missions. To do this, return to your camp and walk to Dutch's tent.
22Our Best Selves Story Mission To start this mission, return to the camp and talk to Dutch. Dutch will try to persuade Arthur to do the last train robbery and when he finally agrees, the whole group will move to Saint Denis.
23Red Dead Redemption Story Mission This is the last mission you play as Arthur. It will start automatically as soon as the Our Best Selves mission has been completed.
24The Widow of Willard's Rest Stranger Mission To begin this mission, find and talk to Charlotte Balfour, who is sitting at her recently deceased husband's grave. You will be able to do this at the end of chapter five or in chapter six. A woman has a hard time getting food, so Arthur will offer her that he will teach her how to hunt. The woman will accept his offer.

Epilogue - Part 1 - Pronghorn Ranch

John takes a job at Pronghorn Ranch and tries to escape his past indiscretions, while learning the skills of ranching.
