Prerequisites: To play this mission, you must first complete the missions Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego, Money Lending and Other Sins I - III.

In order to start this mission, you must first complete Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego and Money Lending and Other Sins I - III missions and then go to the Emerald Ranch and talk to Hosea. You will find him near the barn, chatting with Seamus.

Note: After completing this mission Seamus will act as a Fence.

Objectives of The Spines of America

1. Mount your horse / Go to Carmody Dell

Go to Carmody Dell.

When you arrive at your destination, you will leave your horses away from the buildings so that no one will notice your arrival.

2. Follow Hosea to scope out Carmody Dell / Look at the Home through your binoculars

Come to the rock from behind which Hosea is observing the house.

Use your binoculars and look at the house.

Hosea will inform you about the situation and ask you at what time of day you want to try to steal the stagecoach. Day or night. If you are going to earn a gold medal, you should choose the night.

3. Sneak up to Carmody Dell

During the day, Hosea will lure the residents of the house outside, and keep them busy talking for some time. During this time, sneak into the house from behind and collect items worth a total of $45. The amount you have collected will be displayed in the top left corner of the screen.

At night the farm owner and his son should sleep in their beds so you can enter the house by any door and you have plenty of time. All you have to do is collect items worth $45, but of course it's best to collect everything to earn a gold medal. You will collect more than $200 this way.

4. Rob the Home

In order to complete one of the gold medal requirement - "Loot everything from Carmody Dell", you must loot everything listed below:

1st floor bedroom

• Cabinet - it's under the window, it has four drawers.
• Medicine Chest - it's on the wall.
• Chest - it is standing by the bed.

1st floor living room

• Chest - it stands between the front door and the table.
• Kentucky Bourbon -the bottle's on the table.
• Cigarette Card - you'll find it on the window sill. Probably it is not required, but you should still take it. I myself took the card before I got this mission.
• Apple - it's on the kitchen counter.
• Carrot -it's on the kitchen counter.
• Chimney - search it and you'll find a lot of cash hidden in it.

2nd floor bedroom

• Wardrobe - and all drawers below it.
• Chest - it's by the bed.

5. Get to the Barn unseen / Find Hosea outside / Get on the Stagecoach

If it's daytime, head out the door you came in through, and head to the barn.

Sit in the coachman's seat.

At night, Hosea and the stagecoach will be waiting for you in front of the house.

6. Return the stagecoach to Emerald Ranch / Drive the stagecoach into the Barn

To meet the gold medal requirements, you must return to Seamus in 1 minute and 10 seconds. Ride the shortest possible route and keep your horses galloping at all times. Try to cross the stream where its banks are low and flat. Go around the town on the right to avoid "slow traffic" on the town roads.

7. Talk to Hosea

At the end, talk to Hosea and decide whether you want to return with him to your camp or stay where you are.

From now, Seamus will be a Fence where you can also sell stolen wagons.
