Quest Group: Chapter 2 - Horseshoe Overlook
Category: Stranger Mission
To start this mission, find Albert Mason, the man who is trying to photograph wildlife. During the conversation the coyote will steal his bag and your task will be to get it back.
Albert Mason, a wildlife photographer, has his bag stolen by a coyote while setting up his camera.
In pursuit of the "thief", go to the nearby sawmill. When you run over a hill, you should see a coyote.
You can try to shoot the coyote, then it should drop the satchel, but this is not necessary because at some point coyote will drop the satchel somewhere near the sawmill.
Pick up the satchel, go back to Mason and give him his property back.
When some time passes, Albert Mason will need your help again. This time he can be found northwest of Wallace Station.
Albert Mason needs some further help with his wildlife photography.
This time our brave nature photographer is trying to take a picture of the wolves.
Mason survives a scare while trying to take a picture of some wolves.
Crouch next to Mason and wait for him to take pictures of the wolves.
In total, five wolves will gather around you, and after a while they will become aggressive and attack you, so you will have to shoot them all.
Come to Mason. He will thank you for saving his life and this part of the mission will end.
For the third time you will be able to meet Mason when he tries to take pictures of wild horses north of Emerald Ranch.
Wild horses don't want to get close enough to him, so Arthur decides to help him.
Eager to get a shot of a Silver Dapple Pinto, Mason sets up his camera in the plains of the Heartland Overflow.
Get on your horse and drive towards the herd of wild horses.
The rules are the same as for the sheep herding in The Sheep and the Goats mission. Try to keep the wild horses between yourself and the place where Mason is waiting (marked on the minimap), and slowly ride behind them. You can also shout to speed them up a bit, but since you don't have to hurry, it's not necessary.
When you bring the herd close enough to Mason, the wild horses will gallop towards him.
The horses will ride right next to the photographer who will finally be able to take the desired pictures.
Go back to Mason. He will thank you for your help and give you a small gift, a photograph of the wolves he took during your previous meeting.
Once again, you can meet Albert on the shores of Lake Lagras.
This time he tries to take pictures of alligators. Together you will get on a boat to look for alligators and take close-up pictures of them.
In order to get close-up photographs of alligators, Mason needs help rowing into the middle of the Bluewater Marsh.
Three areas will be marked on your map. You will have to navigate to all of them and help Albert take pictures of the alligators there.
At the easternmost spot, you will take a picture of an alligator attacking animals that are too close to the water.
At the southernmost point, you will take a picture of an alligator floating peacefully in the water.
When you reach the westernmost point, the alligator on the shore will hide in the tall grass. Mason will ask you to stop the boat at a place from which he can take a picture and go ashore to coax the alligator out.
Come ashore and approach the alligator.
As soon as he wakes up, go back to the boat quickly.
Go back to the shore. You will say goodbye and this stage of the mission will end.
The last time you'll meet Manson is when he tries to photograph eagles standing on the edge of a cliff.
Despite Arthur's warnings not to get too close to the edge of the cliff, he will slip and fall down. Luckily, at the last minute, he will grasp the root sticking out of the ground and Arthur will be able to save him.
Manson will give up taking pictures of eagles and decide to return to his home.
