Category: Story Mission
Prerequisites: To play this mission, you must first complete the mission The New South.
In order to start this mission you must first complete The New South mission and then a new marker will appear on the map, pointing you to the Caliga Hall.
Dutch asked you to sniff around Caliga Hall to see what you can find out about the Grays.
The guards watching the property will allow you to enter it if you mention to them that you helped the sheriff Gray or show them the deputy badge (if you already have it).
Talk to one of the workers around Caliga Hall, they should direct you to Beau Gray. You can also, as long as you know where he is, go directly to Beau.
You will find Beau next to one of the utility buildings where he writes a letter to his beloved.
Beau is in love with a woman from a family who is a mortal enemy of his family. Beau wants you to take the letter and bracelet from him and deliver it to his beloved, Penelope Braithwaite.
Beau Gray asks Arthur to deliver a letter to Penelope Braithwaite at Braithwaite Manor.
If you want to earn the gold medal, then you only have three minutes to reach Penelope, give her the letter and then leave the Braithwaite Manor area.
Penelope is at the gazebo by the lake.
Get on your horse as soon as you can and rush towards Braithwaite Manor. Do not follow the marked road but take the shortcut to reach the main buildings of Braithwaite Manor from the south side.
Just behind Caliga Hall gate, turn left, ...
... ride past the old battlefield, ...
... and when you see the manor, ride around from the south side, but not too far away, because you don't have much time.
If you go around the main buildings of the manor from the south side, you should be able to get close to the lake and gazebo very quickly without being noticed, still riding on horseback.
Note: You can see the guards, and the way they're facing, on the map.
Stay close to the water or even ride on the shallows, and with a bit of luck (depends on the current location of the guard patrolling the vicinity of the marina) you will be able to ride up to the gazebo. Or get off your horse and walk (or even swim) the final distance to reduce the risk of detection.
Arthur will give Penelope the letter and a gift from Beau. After a short conversation, Penelope will ask him for a similar favour, to deliver a letter from her to Beau.
Leave the area marked in red on the map as soon as possible. It is best to run south along the shore of the lake. You can take a risk and use the horse that stands behind the tree near the gazebo.
After completing this mission, you will be able to play the mission The Course of True Love III.
