In order to be able to start this mission you must first come across Night Folk at least once. You can meet them at night around Lake Lagras. After that, during the night you'll be able to meet Old Cajun sitting by the fire. Agree to help the man reclaim his property from Night Folk.
In Bluewater Marsh, a Cajun needs help defending his property from the Night Folk.

Follow the man. He will lead you to his cabin, which is currently occupied by Night Folk.
Near the house there are five opponents with machetes and bows. Kill them before they can run to you.
Come into the house. When you enter the house, four more enemies will approach the house. Two with bows and two with machetes.
You can go back a little bit to kill those who try to get to you as soon as they show up at the door.
And then deal with those equipped with bows.
Go back to the trapper. As a token of gratitude, he will give you a Gold Tooth and the Perfect Muskrat Pelt.
