Red Dead Redemption 2 is a Western-themed action-adventure video game set in an open world environment. The game is a prequel to the 2010 title Red Dead Redemption. Set in 1899, it follows the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Dutch Van der Linde gang.

Category: Story Mission. This mission starts automatically when you complete both The Aftermath of Genesis and Old Friends missions.
Category: Stranger Mission. In order to be able to start this mission you must first come across Night Folk at least once. You can meet them at night around Lake Lagras. After that, during the night you'll be able to meet Old Cajun sitting by the fire. Agree to help the man reclaim his property from Night Folk.

Category: Stranger Mission. This mission will be available starting from the middle of the fourth chapter of the game. To begin it, go to Valentine where on the porch in front of the general shop you will meet two brothers and a woman. Acrisius and Proetus want to prove which one of them is braver.
Category: Story Mission. In order to start this mission, you must first complete Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego and Money Lending and Other Sins I - III missions and then go to the Emerald Ranch and talk to Hosea. You will find him near the barn, chatting with Seamus.

There are 90 challenges in all spread across nine main categories. However, these challenges cannot even be seen until you unlock the first one in each category. The challenges must be completed in order, within each category. Actions towards a challenge aren't counted until that challenge is unlocked.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will feature a total of 52 trophies / achievements, with a few requiring completion within its multiplayer component, Red Dead Online.
