This page provides a detailed list of all quests available in the game Ghost of Tsushima. It encompasses main story tales that guide you through the core narrative, side tales that offer additional stories and challenges, and various other objectives you may encounter while exploring the expansive game world. The purpose of this list is to assist you in tracking your progress, offering in-depth information about each task to help you plan your adventures effectively and fully immerse yourself in the rich gameplay experience.
The tales are organized into several groups. The index below enables quick navigation to the relevant group.
Location: Izuhara. This quest will be unlocked after completing the prologue. Yuna needs your help in finding her brother named Taka, who was captured by the Mongols.
Location: Izuhara. This quest will be unlocked automatically when "The Warrior’s Code" quest is completed. Yuna will be waiting for you near Azamo Bay, where her brother is imprisoned.
Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Broken Blacksmith" tale and Yuna's brother is set free. By completing this tale, you will liberate the Komatsu Forge village.
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked after completing the prologue. To start it you have to go to the inn in Hiyoshi Springs.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Izuhara. This quest will be unlocked after completing the "The Tale of Lady Masako" quest. Sensei Ishikawa will tell you that you should talk to Lady Masako.
Location: Izuhara. To unlock this tale you must complete "The Warrior’s Code" and "The Tale of Sensei Ishikawa", then a marker of this story should appear on your map, near the Kishi Grasslands.
Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked upon completion of the "Blood on the Grass" tale. Together with Ryuzo and his men, you plan to attack a fort where the Mongols should keep food supplies.
Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you manage to convince Sensei Ishikawa, Lady Masako and Ryozo to help you free Lord Shimura and when you liberate the Komatsu Forge.
Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you recruit all your allies and get the tools you need for climbing which is when you complete "The Iron Hook" tale.
Location: Toyotama. This is the first tale of the second act. It will start as soon as the "Shadow of the Samurai" tale is completed. You won't be able to use the fast-travel option until you complete it.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will appear in your journal automatically when you complete "A New Horizon" main tale.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will appear in your journal automatically when you complete "A New Horizon" main tale.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Walls of Yarikawa" main tale. You and Yuna are going to find the missing archers and thus prove your good intentions.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Coward of Yarikawa" main tale.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will appear in your journal automatically when you complete "A New Horizon" main tale.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete three other main tales: "A Message in Fire", "The Ghost of Yarikawa", and the "Ghosts From the Past".
Location: Toyotama. This tale will appear in your journal automatically when you complete "A Reckoning in Blood" main tale.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will start automatically when you complete "The Fate of Tsushima" main tale.
Location: Kamiagata. This tale will start automatically when you complete the "From the Darkness" main tale. Kenji will convince the samurai guarding the room you are imprisoned in to leave his post. Then he will open the door, tell you that Yuna is waiting for you in Kin Sanctuary and convince you to escape and find her.
Location: Kamiagata. This tale will be unlocked after you complete the "Honor and Ash" main tale. You have to complete it to be able to return to Toyotama or Izuhara.
Location: Kamiagata. This tale will be unlocked after you complete the "Wolves at the Gates" main tale.
Location: Kamiagata. This tale will be unlocked after you complete "A Gathering Storm" main tale.
Location: Kamiagata. This tale will be unlocked after you complete the "Heart of the Jito" main tale.
Location: Toyotama. This is the last main tale summarizing Jin's relationship with his uncle. It will be unlocked after the completion of the "Eternal Blue Sky" main tale at the end of which Yuna will inform you that your uncle wants to meet you.
Location: Izuhara. To unlock this quest you may need to do some initial main tales, but not many. However, keep in mind that a duel at the end of this tale will not be easy unless you develop your character a bit. You should be able to find the musician sitting next to the road near Komatsu Forge relatively quickly. Several bodies will be lying around him.
Location: Izuhara. This mythic tale will be unlocked at a later stage of the first act. By talking to the people you meet you can learn about the musician in Hiyoshi Springs. You may also need to finish some main tales to meet the musician.
Location: Izuhara. The easiest way to start this quest will be to find musician Yamato in a small camp where he plays for a group of people. However, to be able to do this, you need to push the main storyline of the game a bit forward.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you reach the second act of the game and complete "A New Horizon" tale. The easiest way to start it is to find the musician near the Akashima Village and listen to his tale.
The Spirit of Yarikawa’s Vengeance
Location: Toyotama. The easiest way to start this tale is to find a musician who will tell you a story about the spirit. You will find it in Toyotama near the ruins of Old Yarikawa.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will be available once you visit Umugi Cove in Toyotama. You will have to go there while doing "A Message in Fire" main tale.
Location: Kamiagata. In order to start this tale you must first get to Kamiagata and then find a freezing musician trying to light a campfire in the camp located north of Jogaku Temple.
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Tale of Sensei Ishikawa" main tale.
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Sensei and the Student" tale.
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Past Never Passes" tale.
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you reach the second act of the game. Completing the Ishikawa's tales that take place in Izuhara is not necessary to start this one, but it is recommended to understand the whole story better.
The Ghost and the Demon Sensei
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete the "Dreams of Conquest" tale.
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete the "Dreams of Conquest" tale.
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Kamiagata. To unlock this tale you have to complete the second act of the game and reach Kamiagata, and complete "The Ghost and the Demon Sensei" and "The Terror of Otsuna" tales.
Tale: Ishikawa Tale, Location: Toyotama. This is the last tale in a series of tales about Sensei Ishikawa and his student - Tomoe. It will be unlocked when you complete the "Friends in Passing" tale.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Izuhara. To unlock this tale you should meet Lady Masako in the main story, so you should complete "The Tale of Lady Masako" tale.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Tale of Lady Masako" main tale.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Headman" tale.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Husband" tale.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Toyotama. To start this quest you must first reach Toyotama, so you have to complete "A New Horizon" main tale. You also have to visit Umugi Cove, and this means doing the first part of "A Message in Fire" quest.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Toyotama. To start this tale you must first reach Toyotama, so you have to complete "A New Horizon" main tale, and then you should visit Omi Monastery. When you get there, you should witness a conversation between Lady Masako and the monk Junshin.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Toyotama. To start this quest you must first reach Toyotama, so you have to complete "A New Horizon" main tale, and then you should liberate the Koshimizu Farmstead.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Fool", "The Family Man" and "The Thief" tales.
Tale: Masako Tale, Location: Kamiagata. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Conspirator" tale. To be able to start it you also have to finish the second act of the game and reach Kamiagata and complete the "Wolves at the Gates" main tale.
Tale: Kenji Tale, Location: Izuhara. You will be able to start this quest after completing "The Broken Blacksmith" quest. Go to Aoi Village and find Kenji there.
Tale: Kenji Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you reach Toyotama and finish "A New Horizon" main tale. To begin it, find Kenji near the Old Yarikawa.
The Delicate Art of Negotiation
Tale: Kenji Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you reach Toyotama and finish "A New Horizon" main tale. To begin it, find Kenji in Umugi Cove.
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked after completing "A New Horizon" main tale during which you will meet a monk named Norio for the first time.
Three Actions, Three Illusions
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked after completing "The Last Warrior Monk" tale.
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked after completing "Three Actions, Three Illusions" tale.
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked after completing "A New Horizon" main tale during which you will meet a monk named Norio for the first time.
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked after completing "The Birth of Suffering" tale.
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked after completing "The Birth of Suffering" tale.
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Blood Sutra" and "The Cause of Suffering" tales.
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Kamiagata. This is the first tale with Norio that you will be able to do when you get to Kamiagata. To start it, find a monk, some peasants and a few Mongols near the bridge over the river in the central part of the region.
Tale: Norio Tale, Location: Kamiagata. This tale will be unlocked after completing "The Guardian of Tsushima" tale.
Tale: Yuna Tale, Location: Toyotama. To unlock this tale you must first reach Toyotama, so you have to complete "A New Horizon" main tale.
Tale: Yuna Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Tale of Yuna" tale.
Tale: Yuna Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete the "Silent Death" tale.
Tale: Yuna Tale, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Black Wolf" tale.
Tale: Yuriko, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you finish the "Ghosts From the Past" main tale.
Tale: Yuriko, Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you finish "The Proud Do Not Endure" tale. Yuriko will ask you to visit one more place with her when you have time.
Location: Izuhara. This side tale will be unlocked when "The Broken Blacksmith" main tale is finished. By completing it you will liberate the Azamo Bay village.
Location: Izuhara. The easiest way to start this tale is to go to the small Kijo Isle located south of the Aoi Village and talk to the man you find there.
Location: Izuhara. To start this quest you need to talk to a healer named Hanaoka. You will find him near an inn at the south end of the island.
Location: Izuhara. The easiest way to start this mission is to go to Tsutsu and talk to a lone woman.
Location: Izuhara. This tale will be unlocked when you liberate Azamo Bay village. To do this you must complete the "Unfinished Business" tale.
Location: Izuhara. The easiest way to start this tale is to visit the famed Kii Sake Brewery of Azamo.
Location: Izuhara. The easiest way to start this quest is to go to Azamo and find a woman practicing sword fighting near the inn.
Location: Izuhara. To start this quest find a cabin in the woods near Kuta Grasslands in the southeastern part of Ariake. You will find several wounded men inside it.
Location: Izuhara. The easiest way to start this tale is simply to go to the crossroads, where you can meet a man seeking help.
Location: Izuhara. You can start this tale by visiting a quiet farm is Kashine run by several women.
Location: Izuhara. You can start this tale by looking for a traveler sitting at a crossroads near the forest in Kashine.
Location: Izuhara. The easiest way to start this this short and rather straightforward quest is to visit the area around the bridge connecting Ariake and Hiyoshi.
Location: Izuhara. To unlock this tale you must first complete the first act of the game and reach Toyotama, then return to Izuhara and liberate the Kechi Fishing Village. When you do this you will be able to find and talk to the woman at the dock.
A Wealthy Man Has All He Needs
Location: Toyotama. You can start this tale by visiting a Survivor Camp southeast of Umugi Cove.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked once you visit Umugi Cove in Toyotama. You will have to go there while doing "A Message in Fire" main tale.
Location: Toyotama. The easiest way to start this tale is to find the fishermen's hut in Toyotama where Shino and her father live.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will be unlocked when you finish "A Message in Fire" and "The Delicate Art of Negotiation" tales. To get it started, talk to Lady Sanjo in her dojo in Umugi Cove.
Location: Toyotama. To start this tale, find the destroyed shrine in a bamboo grove in the central part of Toyotama.
Location: Toyotama. The easiest way to start this quest will be to find a famous statue created by Master Izo located in Old Toyotama Hills.
Location: Toyotama. This tale will start when you approach the cemetery at the end of the cape located to the south-east of the Koshimizu Farmstead. You'll find the body of a monk and some Mongols there.
Location: Toyotama. The easiest way to unlock this tale is to visit the area around the Lucky Genzo's Inn.
Location: Toyotama. To start this tale, go to the bamboo groves north of Yarikawa Stronghold and talk to the bandit you find there.
Location: Kamiagata. This tale will be unlocked when you reach Jogaku Temple in Kamiagata.
Location: Kamiagata. To start this tale, find a peasant crying at the corpse hanging from a tree.
Location: Kamiagata. You can start this tale by visiting the Sago Mill village in Kamiagata.
Location: Kamiagata. This tale will be unlocked when you get to Kamiagata. To start it, find a sick man standing by the roadside in the southern part of Jogaku Prefecture.
