The Tale of Lady Masako Ghost of Tsushima Tale

1. Travel to the Adachi estate

Go to Adachi Estate. When you arrive at the estate, it will look abandoned.

2. Search the main house

In the main house, examine naginata, the weapon you find there and the window through which someone tried to escape.

3. Search the guest house / Defeat the assassins / Search the assassins

When you come near the guesthouse, three assassins will jump out of it. Kill them and examine the body of one of them. These are neither Mongols nor common bandits.

4. Search the stables

The next place you'll have to check is the stables. Go there and examine the hoofprints and footprints.

5. Follow the footprints / Investigate the fallen horse

Follow the footprints and they will lead you to a fallen horse. When you try to examine it, Lady Masako will show up.

You'll tell her about her husband's death and ask her for help in releasing Lord Shimura. Then she'll tell you that her clan was massacred and no longer exists. You will offer her your help in finding out who is responsible.

6. Follow Masako / Honor the dead

Follow Masako. First, you will go to the cemetery where she buried her family members. Pay honor to the dead.

7. Follow Masako / Speak with Lady Masako

Then Masako will lead you to the Golden Temple and tell you to find a monk named Sogen and tell him about the fate of her clan. He will also tell you to visit the armorer and collect the armor he wants to give you.

8. Look for Sogen / Speak with the sweeping monk

As soon as you enter the temple, talk to the monk named Junshin and he will tell you where you can find Sogen.

Sogen is sweeping the temple platform. Tell him about the clan's fate and then he will suggest that you should tell Lady Masako to take refuge in the temple.

9. Speak with the armorer

Approach the armorer and tell her that Lady Masako is sending you.

You'll get a new armor - Samurai Clan Armor.

10. Speak with Lady Masako / Follow Masako / Look for Sogen

Then find Lady Masako who will be waiting for you near the second gate to the temple and tell her what you learned from Sogen. Lady Masako suspects that Sogen is involved in an attack on her family.

Together you will go to an overlook near the temple from where you will be able to observe Sogen.

11. Trail Sogen / Go to the left side of the inn's entrance

When Sogen sets off, follow him without losing sight of him. During the trip, Sogen will turn around several times to check if someone is not following him, so keep a safe distance from him and use rocks or grass to avoid detection.

Eventually Sogen will lead you to an Old Inn that the bandits are using as a hideout. Go to the left side of the inn's entrance and listen to what they're talking about.

12. Defeat the bandits / Confront Sogen

When they finish talking, Sogen will enter the building and you and Masako will attack the bandits. When you kill all the bandits, go to the upper floor of the building and confront the monk. Sogen will not want to reveal who his principal is. It will anger Masako who will kill him.

13. Search the inn / Speak with Lady Masako

You'll decide to search the inn for clues. Find and read the scroll that lies on the table. This is a list of conspirators involved in the conspiracy against the Adachi clan.

Go outside and tell Lady Masako what you found. Lady Masako will agree to help you free Lord Shimura, you decide to help her find the conspirators and the quest will end.
