(6 of 9) Norio and I defended Kushi Temple from the Mongol attack. In the aftermath of battle, we learned they had stolen a priceless statue of Buddha. The monks are distraught, but Norio and I will do whatever it takes to recover this sacred artifact.

Quest stages of The Cause of Suffering
1. Speak with the monk
Go into one of the temples and speak with the monk about the stolen statue. You and Norio promise him you'll get it back.
The Mongols have stolen an ancient, priceless statue of Buddha from Kushi Temple. The monks are ready to give up. Norio and I must return the statue, and restore hope to Kushi Temple.
2. Travel with Norio / Speak with the dying monk / Speak with Norio
Follow Norio. Shortly after you leave the temple, you will come across a deadly wounded monk lying by the roadside. Before he dies, he will tell you which way the Mongols who stole the statue went.
3. Find the Mongols who stole the statue / Defeat the Mongols
Go east and you'll soon reach the Mongol camp. Kill them all.
After completing The Cause of Suffering you will get or will be able to get The End of Suffering (1 of 2).
