Quest stages of Heart of the Jito
1. Speak with Yuna at Jogaku Temple
Return to Jogaku Temple and speak with Yuna who's waiting for you near the gift altar. You will tell her about your plan of writing a letter to your uncle asking for help. You are going to deliver this letter to his quarters in his castle. When the letter is ready, before you set off to the castle, Yuna will want to give you a new horse.
When the next storm hits, we attack Khotun Khan. We may not succeed, but we'll stand a better chance with support from Lord Shimura's army.
I need to sneak into his castle and deliver a personal message asking for his help. All without raising any alarms - or harming any samurai. I hope my uncle will listen.
2. Follow Yuna / Choose your horse / Name your horse
Go with Yuna to the stable, choose a new horse and name it. Unfortunately you will not be able to choose a horse that looks like the one you had before.
3. Enter Castle Shimura from the north
Approach Castle Shimura from the north. When you do this, a short flashback will be played.
The night will come. Start climbing the rocks to the left of the waterfalls, near the place where the man who is fishing is located.
Climb the rocks, jump to the other side of the waterfall, and climb again, and you will eventually reach a crack in the wall through which you can get to the castle grounds.
4. Sneak into Lord Shimura's quarters / (Optional) Sneak into the cart
First you have to get to the bridge leading to the castle, and then to the other side of it. You can do this in a few ways.
For example, you can wait for the guards patrolling the road to walk away...
...and then go to the other side and descend into the water to be able to continue through the canal.
Walk forward through the canal, wait for the guard patrolling the small island to go to the other end...
...and while swimming on the right, reach the rock in the middle of the bridge.
Then you should continue along the exact same way as you were going along while doing the "From the Darkness" tale, and eventually you will reach the window of the tower on the right side of the main keep. The tower will be guarded by only one samurai but remember that you cannot kill him. When he is turned his back to you, then you can quickly enter through the window and proceed to the room on the right. Then he should go outside the tower.
If he is stubbornly looking towards the window then you can use a wind chime to distract him. If it wont work, restart from the last checkpoint :-)
Another way to cross the bridge
An optional way to get to the other side of the bridge is to sneak to the gate leading to the bridge where a merchant's cart stands. When you hide inside it, you will cross the bridge to the other side. The cart will stop at the place where there were milk containers that you had to poison while doing the "From the Darkness" main tale.
No matter how you got to the other side of the bridge, in both cases you now have to get to the back of the main keep to the scaffolding that was erected there. If you walked under the bridge you have to pass through the tower and the garden on the right side and if you used a cart then you have to sneak between the tents on the left side of the keep.
If you passed under the bridge, you must now sneak through the garden. This time you will have to do it differently than in the "From the Darkness" mission because there will be no tents or slacklines. Stick to the wall on the right and use all possible covers.
Wait until the guard who is looking in your direction moves away from the campfire towards the gate. Then you will be able to sneak further ...
...and when the two samurai depart from the gate, move forward.
Note: If they are standing and talking, try to get closer.
On the other side of the gate you will find a scaffolding that you can use to get to the window and enter the keep.
When you enter through the window, you will see your uncle. Wait until your uncle goes up a ladder to the top floor and the guard will walk away and then climb the ladder too.
Then go out to the roof through the open window.
Proceed over the roof to the next open window. Wait until Lord Shimura finishes talking to the samurai and climbs up a ladder to the upper floor and the guard standing by the ladder will move to another place.
You will then be able to enter through the window as all samurai will be standing with their backs to you, and climb the ladder to the next floor.
You must now open the door...
...and sneak behind the samurai's back to the room on the other side.
There you will find a window through which you will be able to climb to the roof again.
Walk around the roof until you find two ladders, which will take you to the top part of the roof.
Wait until the guard patrolling the gallery is not looking at you, then jump over the railing and get inside.
Then go down the ladder to the lower floor...
...and then go down one more ladder to your uncle's quarters.
After completing Heart of the Jito you will get or will be able to get Eternal Blue Sky.
