1. Speak with Yuna

When you are ready to face Khan himself, talk to Yuna who will be waiting for you near the lake. A storm is coming, so you will decide to attack Port Izumi the next day at dawn.

2. Optional: Speak with your allies

Talk to any of your allies or everyone if you feel like it. Norio is inside the building by the lake, Lady Masako and Sensei Ishikawa near the main building of the temple and Kenji is inside it.

3. Speak with Yuna

When you are ready, talk to Yuna again, who will be waiting near the swordsmith. You will talk about what you have gone through together and then you will go to rest.

The next day you will automatically move near Izumi Village. Unfortunately Lord Shimura and his samurai did not show up to help you, so you will begin the attack without them.

4. Take position in the fishing village / Defeat the Khan's reinforcements

Get ready and soon the Mongols will come to the village.

Start killing them in your preferred way. There are a few explosive barrels in the village, you can use.

Once you kill the first group, move forward with your allies and eliminate further opponents.

5. Speak with Yuna

When you get rid of all the opponents in the village, talk to Yuna, Ishikawa and Masako. In order not to let the Mongols regroup, you will decide to join Norio who is fighting on the hill.

6. Travel with your allies to meet Norio

Move to the place where Norio is waiting for you, and there you will establish a plan for further action.

Your allies will attack the main gate to distract the Mongols and your task will be to find your way inside the port.

7. Infiltrate Port Izumi

Go towards the gap between the rocks.

Hiding in the tall grass, follow the frozen river until you reach a place where you can climb the rocks.

8. Find a vantage point to locate the Khan / Climb the watchtower to locate the Khan

The vantage point you need to reach is the observation tower located to the north. Walking on the roofs of buildings and the slacklines can help you avoid some of the enemies.

Note: It's a small cheat, but you can quickly run to the tower and climb onto it. When you do it, a cutscene will start and you will lose aggro.

When you climb up the tower, from the top you will see where Khan is. He is at the manor house.

Better late than never. Lord Shimura and his samurai finally arrived in port and attacked the Mongols.

9. Confront the Khan at the manor house

You need to get to the manor house now. To get rid of the first group of enemies, you can use the brazier under which they stand.

You can get rid of the next group by using the chain assassination master ability.

Then you have to get to the other side of the bridge with a few Mongols standing on it and the archers on the other side.For example, you can throw bombs at them...

...and prove to the archers that you are a better marksman than them.

On the other side of the river, on the way to the manor house you will come across a few more Mongols that you will have to get rid of.

Once you reach the gate to the manor house, squeeze through the gap and you will face Khotun Khan on the other side.

10. Defeat Khotun Khan

After a short conversation you will start a duel. Khan will fight with a spear, so his attacks will have a large range. He is also relatively slow. Avoid his special attacks and you shall have no problems.

During this duel you will not kill Khan, because at some point, when you think you're about to beat him, he will blind you for a moment and then he will escape to his warship.

11. Defeat the Mongols / Stop the Khan before he escapes

Get rid of the two Mongols who will attack you immediately and then head towards the ship moored in the port. Kill the Mongols who will stand in your way.

12. Defeat Khotun Khan

When you reach the ship, you will have to fight Khan again. This time it will not be a duel but a regular fight in which you will be attacked by other Mongols besides Khan. During this fight you can use all your skills, stances or gadgets. Khan will initially remain on the upper deck and you will first have to fight his bodyguards. But if you kill enough of them, he will join the fight himself.

In the next phase of the fight especially dangerous will be the archers standing on the upper deck. Get rid of them by shooting at the barrels with explosives.

Khan will initially fight with a spear but at some point he will switch to a sword and a shield.

Once you have weakened Khan enough, you will be able to approach him and press the triangle a few times to first deprive him of his weapon and shield and then to strike the final blow.

13. Follow Yuna

After the battle is over, you and Yuna will head back to Jogaku Temple. When you arrive there, Yuna will tell you that your uncle wants to meet you near Omi Lake and this tale will end.
