Quest Group: Chapter 4 - Mastering the Source
Starting Map: Reaper's Coast
To start this quest you should talk to Ryker.
A powerful Sourcerer named Ryker has bid us to seek out a special tablet for him in a cave found in the Blackpits. Helping someone like him could prove to be highly beneficial to us.
We refused to help Ryker with his request.
From Ifan, we learned that Ryker has connections with the Lone Wolves. We had better show caution.
Pickpocket/kill Slumberjack or Naptooth, loot and read Assassination Contract.
We discovered that Ryker is a Lone Wolf assassin, and has a standing contract to eliminate any Godwoken he encounters.
We confronted Ryker about his contract to kill any Godwoken he encounters, but he assured us that we have nothing to be concerned about.
We learned that Ryker has accepted a 'promise' - some sort of pact or covenant that he now wishes to free himself from. Perhaps we should see what he has to say about this.
We tried to question Ryker about this 'promise' that wishes to free himself from, but he avoided answering.
We continued to press Ryker for more information, causing him to attack us. Clearly this is no idle promise that he's beholden to, but a covenant that he'd kill for. He almost seemed afraid to speak of it.
We have entered the Blackpits region.
Find the entrance To Blackpits Caverns.
We have made our way deep into the Blackpits caverns. The tablet that Ryker seeks must be around here somewhere.
Eerie Tablet or Eerie Tablet / Tablet of the Eternals.
We found some tablets in the caverns, though none of them seemed very exceptional. We should continue looking.
Enter Ancient Temple.
We found an ancient temple of sorts, deep in the Blackpits caverns.
We found the tablet that Ryker seeks. We can now give it to him... or not. Perhaps it will be of value to us.
We have upheld our part of the deal, and delivered the tablet to Ryker.
We decided to renege on our deal, and didn't give the tablet to Ryker.
Let Ryker (lvl 12) see the tablet.
Ryker turned on us and tried to kill us.
We killed Ryker.
Ryker has offered to help us further our mastery of Source. In order to do so, he had to carry out a ritual that summoned spirits from the Stonegarden to sacrifice themselves to us. Despite the dark nature of the boon, we accepted.
Ryker has offered to help us further our mastery of Source. In order to do so, he had to carry out a ritual that summoned spirits from the Stonegarden to sacrifice themselves to us. Knowing the true nature of his boon, we could not accept.
We have left Reaper's Coast without encountering Ryker.
We have departed from Reaper's Coast without fulfilling the deal that we agreed with Ryker.
