To start this quest you should talk to Ferno.
We have encountered a very ill-looking bird near the Meadows.

We spoke with the bird. It says that it feels cold and weak. It wants to be warm again.
It seems that this bird may in fact be a phoenix, at the last stage of its life cycle before rebirth.

*Tell the bird that it appears to be mortally ill. A quick, merciful end would be best.*

*Tell the bird that he's only prolonging his suffering.*

You can use Fireball spell to immolate the bird.

After a while Phoenix Egg will appear.
From the ashes of the bird, and egg has appeared - a phoenix egg.
Eating the egg will grant your character a new skill - Phoenix Dive - Leap through the air towards a target position, creating a fire surface upon landing. (Requires Warfare 2).

Place the egg in your satchel. You won't be able to eat it later but its base price is 2500 gold.
