In Doom: The Dark Ages, Skins are cosmetic items that alter the appearance of the Doom Slayer's weapons or armor, offering no gameplay advantages. They are collectibles often found in Secret Areas, hidden paths, or as rewards for completing specific challenges or levels.
Types of Weapon Skins
- Default - The standard appearance of each weapon, available from the moment you unlock the weapon during the campaign.
- Nightmare - A collectible skin marked by a paintbrush icon on the game's map. These skins emphasize exploration and are often hidden in challenging or hard-to-reach areas.
- Reverent - A unique cosmetic skin earned by completing specific mission challenges in various chapters.
- Conqueror - A prestigious gold-themed skin that signifies mastery of a weapon. Requires fully upgrading a weapon with all available upgrades and then completing the weapon's specific mastery challenge.

- Cycler - Thermal Runaway - Cause Overloaded or Lightning Arc damage to demons with the Plasma Rifle Cycler x500.
- Pulverizer - Hunter - Cause Charged damage to demons with the Skullcrusher Pulverizer x250.
- Ravager - Gatherer - Gather Skullcrusher ammo by damaging demons with the Supplier equipped Ravager x100.
- Chainshot - Reverberation - Cause explosive Cosmic Breach damage to demons with fully charged Chainshot Reaver impacts x100.
- Grenade Launcher - Clusterfun - Cause secondary Fragment and Cataclysm damage to demons with the Grenade Launcher cluster grenades x100.

Slayer Skins
