To start this tale, find the destroyed shrine in a bamboo grove in the central part of Toyotama.
There's a shrine near here, with smoke coming from its location. I hope it's all right.
Peace for the Divine

Examine the dead fox and two damaged parts of the shrine. Once you do this, a fox will appear, which apparently wants to show you who destroyed the shrine. Follow this fox.
The Mongols have now set their focus on our shrines and the foxes who call them home. I'll find every Mongol whose blade was drawn against these sacred messengers. They will soon understand what it's like to be hunted.
While following the fox you will come across several mongols and their dogs. Get rid of them.
Eventually, the fox will guide you to a camp where you will encounter several Mongols, including the leader.
Kill them all and that way you will complete this short tale.
