This tale will be unlocked after completing "The Birth of Suffering" tale.
(6 of 9) Norio and I defended Kushi Temple from the Mongol attack. In the aftermath of battle, we learned they had stolen a priceless statue of Buddha. The monks are distraught, but Norio and I will do whatever it takes to recover this sacred artifact.
Go into one of the temples and speak with the monk about the stolen statue. You and Norio promise him you'll get it back.
The Mongols have stolen an ancient, priceless statue of Buddha from Kushi Temple. The monks are ready to give up. Norio and I must return the statue, and restore hope to Kushi Temple.
Follow Norio. Shortly after you leave the temple, you will come across a deadly wounded monk lying by the roadside. Before he dies, he will tell you which way the Mongols who stole the statue went.
Go east and you'll soon reach the Mongol camp. Kill them all.
Find the statue that's on the cart near the river.
You and Norio will automatically transport it back to the temple and put it in the right to complete this tale.
After completing this tale, you will be able to play the tale The End of Suffering.
