... then you need to tell them about the Seeker army that's camped nearby. Jester or Outlaw can do it.

[JESTER] *Compliment their bravery. After all, they'll need it when the Seeker army you saw earlier arrives.*

If they stay you will have to kill them on your way back with Gareth.
