Quest stages of A Wolf Alone

1. Letter

Open your inventory and read Mysterious Letter (Lone Wolf Contract).

I have a note in my backpack from my pack leader, Roost Anlon. It's my contract to kill Divine Bishop Alexandar. The note also states that I should seek out a Magister Borris in the Ghetto. He may be able to give me some aid with my mission.

2. Ifan Washed Ashore

I survived... again. My contract is soggy with seawater but still valid. It's time to track down my mark.

3. Atusa Event

I've seen my target: Divine Bishop Alexandar. However, he's too well-protected at the moment. I'll need to find a way to isolate him...

6. Kill Order

Find Magister Borris and talk to him. He wants you to kill Saheila.

Magister Borris told me I need to kill a seer named Saheila, before reporting back to him for the promised aid.

Kill Order

7. Start After Borris

My contract to kill Alexandar told me to seek out a Magister Borris in Fort Joy for aid. I met the chap already, and I can't say he was charming company.

8. Borris Intimidated

Tell Magister Borris:

*Say you'll be sure to visit his family when you're done with Saheila and Alexandar.*

It should be enough to intimidate him.

I didn't give Magister Borris what he wanted. Instead, I intimidated him until he cracked and gave me a greasy scrap of paper.

9. Saheila Killed

Saheila has been killed, just as Magister Borris wanted.

10. Alexandar Information

Find and talk to Zaleskar. He will give you Shadow's Eye crossbow, it grants Chameleon Cloak skill (Invisible for 3 turns).

I met with Zaleskar in the Swamps. To help with my contract, he gave me a powerful crossbow and a single poison cloud arrow. I must choose the right moment to use them carefully.

11. Borris Note

The aid from Magister Borris amounts to directions. I'm to seek out a trader named Zaleskar in the Hollow Marshes outside Fort Joy. He has some kind of weapon that might be able to help me fulfill my contract.

14. Alexandar Killed

After a dramatic showdown, I finally managed to kill Alexandar and escape with my life somewhat intact. My contract is complete but I didn't get to ask Alexandar the question that's been on my mind for years. Now, it's time to get off this hellish island...

15. Alexandar L V

Apparently, Alexandar is still alive! He's in a coma belowdecks on the Lady Vengeance. Maybe he can answer some questions when he wakes up?

16. Alexandar Killed L V

Alexandar's survival in a coma didn't last long. He's dead now.

17. Act2 Start

I need to track down my old pack. They'll know exactly who has the contract out on Godwoken... and why.

18. D W Kid

I was approached by a ragged child who told me a Lone Wolf contact by the name of Baran wants to talk to me in the Driftwood Tavern. After what happened there last time I was in town, I hope they let me back in.

19. Found Contract

I've found a contract showing that someone is willing to pay the Lone Wolves a large amount of money to kill the Godwoken. No surprises there.

20. Learned Baran

My old Lone Wolf acquaintance Callo - in disguise as a trader named Baran Levere - told me that Roost now expects me to show up at the nearby Sawmill with Godwoken in tow: Godwoken he has a contract to kill.

21. Learned Roost

Roost was none too pleased to see me, but before all the blood and tears, I learned that Alexandar has been spotted alive on an island, most likely the very same island we're looking for. What the hell makes Alexandar so indestructible?!

22. Wrecker Hills Confession

I told my companions the story of the time I was given a mission in the last war. I was to rescue elves in my homeland by bringing them a teleporter device. This would allow them to escape before the Divine Order unleashed Deathfog to kill the Black Ring. However, my good intentions were for naught, as the Deathfog exploded before I could complete my mission...

23. Tricked

I thought I was saving the elves but I was the one who delivered the Deathfog! I brought death to my people with my own hands. I was lied to... but surely not by Lucian?

24. Hannag Letter

I found a letter in the Wrecker Cave, seemingly destined for a certain Hannag. It mentioned that a Deathfog Delivery Device had been recovered and was being repaired.

25. Find Hannag

The creator of the Deathfog device, a lizard Portalmaster named Hannag, can supposedly found somewhere in the Paradise Downs region.

26. Find Hannag Alt

The creator of the Deathfog device is none other than Hannag - the Sourcerer I met in the Blood Forest!

27. Hannagin B F

The Portalmaster Hannag apparently now lurks in the Blood Forest.

28. Hannag Info

After interrogating Hannag, I've learned that Alexandar and Lucian knew full well they were murdering elves. They used me as a suicide bomber. The life I lived in service of the Divine Order was a vicious lie.

29. C O S Alexandar

I finally tracked down the perennially-resurrecting Alexandar. Filled with self-justification, he felt no remorse at all for killing the elves or for using me.

30. C O S Alexandar No Hannag

32. Enter Academy

I should be the Divine. I am Rhalic's chosen... and I can only do better than Lucian did.

33. C O S Alexandar

I finally tracked down the perennially-resurrecting Alexandar. Filled with self-justification, he felt no remorse at all for killing the elves or for using me.

34. Killed Alexandar C O S

I killed Alexandar. And this time he's gone for good.

35. Start Act3

Looking at the horrors unleashed by the Divine, seeing the endless wars caused by fighting over Source - a question enters my mind. Perhaps no single person should be the Divine? Perhaps instead, divinity should be shared amongst all of Rivellon...

36. Killed Lucian Crypt

After all the Divine did, I could not suffer him to live. I defeated Lucian.

37. Chose To Ascend

I ascended to become the next Divine of Rivellon. May I be better than the last.

38. Chose Source4 All

Instead of ascending to become Divine, I chose to share divinity with all of Rivellon. May no more harm be done in the name of Source.

39. Chose Companion Divine

Instead of ascending to become Divine, I chose to support my companion's bid for ascension. May they be better than the last Divine.

40. Chose Lucian

Instead of ascending to become Divine, I chose to support Lucian again, just as I did in the old days. May he do better this time.

41. Chose God King

The God King ascended to divinity. I can't help but feel I've made a terrible mistake...

42. Chose Demon

A demon has ascended to divinity. I can't help but feel I've made a terrible mistake...
