Traveling Salesman

To start this quest, you must first complete "The Forts" quest, and then sail to Kingston to begin it.

1. Follow James Kidd

You must follow Kidd, climbing and jumping across rooftops, until he leads you to a spot overlooking where the slave auction was supposed to take place. Unfortunately, you're a bit late.

2. Look for clues on the Sage's whereabouts

All you need to find is the Letter from Torres, which is located on a table on a covered wooden platform in the northern part of the yard. There are two guards nearby that you will need to get rid of.

3. Meet Kidd at the cemetery

Kidd is waiting for you on the roof of a building located on the street adjacent to the cemetery.

4. Enter the cemetery

Just jump off the roof into the pile of straw right behind the cemetery wall - and then hide in the tall bushes next to Kidd.

5. Follow Kidd in the cemetery

While staying hidden, observe the meeting between Prins and Torres. Twice, Torres and Prins will move to another spot, and Kidd will move to the next bushes to stay close to them. Do the same as he does to keep close to him at all times. Wait patiently without leaving the bushes until the meeting comes to an end.

Unfortunately, Prins will detect that they are being followed and will order his soldiers to attack you.

6. Eliminate all guards in the cemetery

You just need to kill all the soldiers who attack you.

7. Catch James Kidd

Once you have killed all the soldiers, Kidd will conclude that he has given you enough time and that it is now time to kill Prins. He will throw a smoke bomb and start running away.

You must catch Kidd and tackle him to the ground to convince him not to do it. Kidd will run around the city block along the same path, only slightly slower than you. He will cover part of the distance jumping across buildings and part of it running through the streets. It may happen that when you get close to him, he will throw another smoke bomb.

Do not try to run directly behind him - while catching him this way is possible, it is difficult. You also cannot wait for him to complete a lap, because if he gets too far ahead, he will stop. The easiest way is to cut through the area he is running around.

Then, if you choose the right street, he will run right toward you - or at least you will get close enough to him that catching up to him and tackling him will be trivial.

Once you do this, a cutscene will start. You will talk for a bit, and he will agree to wait and help you locate the Sage, but you will have to help him kill Prins later. This mission will end, and the next one will be unlocked - Unmanned.
