In Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Viewpoints, also known as Synchronization Points, serve the same core purpose as they did in the original game while taking advantage of the remasters improved visuals. These are the tall towers, church spires, cliffs, and other elevated locations marked with the familiar eagle icon. Climbing to the top and synchronizing reveals a panoramic view of the surrounding area and updates your map.
Synchronizing a viewpoint clears the fog of war around its location, making exploration much easier. It also reveals nearby activities and collectibles, including treasure chests, treasure maps, hunting areas, taverns, and other points of interest, allowing you to plan your exploration more efficiently.
Each synchronized viewpoint also becomes a fast travel destination. This lets you instantly return to previously explored areas instead of sailing or running across the map every time, making both story progression and collectible hunting much more convenient.
There are 61 viewpoints spread across the Caribbean in Black Flag Resynced. Unlocking them as you reach each new island or city is one of the most effective ways to uncover the game's content, and it significantly reduces the time needed to achieve 100% completion.
