This quest will be unlocked after completing the quest "Sugarcane and Its Yields". To start it, sail to a small island - Salt Lagoon - and talk to your friends who are camping on the beach there to figure out what your next move should be.
Edward, Ed Thatch, and James Kidd track a Spanish galleon to its moorings… and discover a strange surprise.

1. Fire heated shots at the shipwreck
At the very beginning of this quest, Adéwalé will inform you that you now have a new type of weapon at your disposal - Heated Shots. This is an alternative fire mode for broadside cannons, dealing higher damage but having a shorter range.

Test the new ammo on the nearby shipwreck. You do not need to sail anywhere - the wreck is right beside you, so just turn around, switch weapons, and fire a volley.

2. Locate El Arca del Maestro
Sail toward the quest objective marker and use your spyglass to spot the ship El Arca del Maestro.

3. Tail El Arca del Maestro
You must tail the Spanish ship, keeping a safe distance behind it. After some time, you will see the enemy ship get attacked by three small pirate ships. Do not join the battle - just watch it from a distance. After a moment, the pirates will be defeated, and the warship will sail on.

In the meantime, several enemy schooners will approach you and attack.
4. Sink the Spanish ships
There are seven enemy ships, but they are fragile, and by using the new heavy shot, you can destroy most of them relatively quickly. On the last, largest ship, you can perform a board action if you wish. After destroying all the enemy ships, the task will come to an end, and the next quest will be unlocked - A Single Madman.
