This quest will unlock after completing the "Mister Walpole, I Presume?" quest. To start it, you must head to the docks and speak with Rogers, who is waiting for you there. This will trigger a cutscene where you will learn that the so-called Sage has been captured by the Templars and they intend to transport him to the governor's estate. Your task will be to escort them.
In anticipation of getting his reward, Edward must meet the Templars near the docks.
Stay close to the Templars. The peaceful stroll won't last long, as the first group of assassins will soon appear and attack you.
You will be attacked by several assassins running in from various directions. To eliminate enemies quickly, it is best, as suggested by the game, to use your new weapon - hidden blade. As soon as you see a blue flash, parry it and follow up with a lethal strike.
Once you get rid of all the enemies, you will continue on your way. However, just a bit further ahead, a second wave of enemies will attack you. This time, you must also look up, as one of the assassins will attack from a roof using a ranged weapon.
Just like before, once you've defeated all the enemies, you'll move on. A bit further ahead, when the smoke from the smoke bomb appears, the third and largest group of assassins will attack, but it will also be the final wave of enemies trying to stop you.
When you defeat all the enemies, a cutscene will trigger. Just as everything seems to be under control, two more assassins attack, freeing the Sage from his bonds - taking advantage of the chaos, he begins to run away.
Give chase immediately - don't panic if Roberts increases the distance, as the chase is designed to lead him to a specific location. Follow the green marker, and you will eventually corner him near a closed gate.
You are in for a relatively simple fistfight with Roberts. Just watch out for his red attacks and try to parry one of his blows, which will allow you to knock him down and end the fight.
Roberts will be captured and you will receive a reward from the Governor - 100 Reales - completing this quest and unlocking the next one - Claiming What's Due.
