To start this quest, which is only available during the prologue, talk to Crina sobbing over an open grave of her grandson and offer to help find the person who desecrated the grave.

Someone dug up the grave of Kvet, Crina's grandson - and stole the little crucifix she placed by the boy's body. I promised her I'd try to find the grave robber and retrieve the missing gift.
I need to inspect the disturbed grave. Perhaps the robbers left some clues.
Examine the points of interest around the grave. The most important clues are a coffin and a set of footprints on the right side of the grave.
I found the robber's trail... Now I've got to see where it leads.
The footprints will lead you to the center of the settlement, but the trail will end near the blacksmith.
The grave robber left a track of reddish soil. I've got to follow it if I want to find him.
I need to comb the area for clues. That's how I'll find the grave robber.
Head a bit further west, near the house located there. On its northern side, you should notice an item lying on the ground. Approach it.
I found a shovel which might be connected to the robbery. But I won't know for sure until I inspect it.
This object turns out to be a shovel. Examine it. On one side of the shovel, you'll find traces of the same soil as in the cemetery.
The trail leads right to Kostel's shed. I should look around inside.
Enter the hut and check the trapdoor in the floor, which is partially covered with canvas. Kostel will then enter the hut and won't be happy about you snooping around. No matter what you say, a fistfight will break out between you two.
The fight will be interrupted when Vladimir appears in the hut. After a short conversation, Vladimir will admit to the theft, but he'll also reveal the reason behind it - the silver the crucifix is made of will come in handy when fighting vampires.
You will get two dialogue options to choose from:
I need to return to Crina. I could tell her what I learned... But should I?
Return to Crina, who is still waiting for you near the grave. If you recovered the crucifix, you will return it to her and be able to decide whether to reveal who stole it or keep it a secret. If you do not have the crucifix, you will only be able to lie.
Finally, Crina will ask you for help repairing the grave. You can do so, though it will cost you an extra segment of time, or you can get out of it by claiming you are short on time. Either way, you will get 250 XP and 25 Denarii.
If you recovered the crucifix and revealed to Crina who stole it.
I told Crina that Vlad stole the crucifix. It was the right thing to do. Friend or not - there's no justifying what he did.
If you didn't force Vladimir to hand over the crucifix, or if you did and returned the crucifix to Crina, but concealed from her that Vlad was the thief.
I decided to lie to Crina - telling her otherwise would have put Vlad in mortal danger. He may be a graverobber, but he's still my friend.
