Quest Group: Chapter 2 - Escape from Reaper's Eye
Starting Map: Fort Joy
To start this quest you should talk to Gawin in Fort Joy Ghetto.
A Sourcerer called Gawin has a plan to use teleportation to escape Fort Joy, but he needs an accomplice with similar abilities to his own. There is a teleportation glove hidden on a nearby beach that we can use if we need it, but we will have to retrieve it from some bloodthirsty crocodilians. Also, only one of us can accompany Gawin.
Go to the place marked on your map and kill Crocodiles (lvl 3). Loot the Gloves of Teleportation from one of the corpses and put them on. It will allow you to use Teleportation skill.
One of the crocodilians was digesting the glove. It must be worn in order to benefit from its magical properties.
Go back to Gawin and tell him that you got the skill. He will move to a new location in Hidden Alcove.
We are now able to use teleportation. Gawin will meet us at a quiet alcove along the beach in order to execute his escape plan.
Gawin will be waiting for you in the Hidden Alcove. Go there and talk to Gawin (Hidden Alcove).
Note: You can't teleport yourself, but you can transfer Gloves of Teleportation to another character in your party.
We need to help Gawin teleport himself out of Fort Joy.
Teleport Gawin to the ledge below (not the beach!) then teleport him to the mossy rock across the gulch.
We successfully teleported Gawin out of Fort Joy, but he abandoned us. We will have to find another way to escape.
If you teleported Gawin to the beach at the bottom.
Gawin will not be able to help us escape. We will have to find another way to regain our freedom.
Note: I was not able to trigger this state. Probably you have to wait long enough with helping Gawin, and / or move far enough in the storyline.
It seems as though we're out of luck - somebody else must have already helped Gawin.
We have managed to escape without the help of Gawin.
