Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest The Letter.
This quest starts right after Hytham informs you about a letter sent by a mysterious friend, which happens in the quest "The Letter".
Meet The Poor Fellow-Soldier of Christ in Aethelnay.
Warning: Below you will find some spoilers regarding the identity of an important member of the Order of the Ancients.

Head to the village Aethelnay located in the northwestern part of Hamtunscire.
When you reach the village you will find that your mysterious partner is none other than King Aelfred himself.
Walk with Aelfred and after a while you will find out that he is the person you were looking for. He will tell you why he was a member of the Order and about his plans to destroy it from the inside.
He will give you the last of the medallions and the key to his study in Wincestre. You will not have to kill him and after a while this quest will end.
Visiting his study is optional but if you do, you will find some documents you can read there. Aelfred's study can be found inside the Old Minster building. This is the same room on the upper floor where you met him during the quest "The Reeve of Wincestre".
