Quest Group: Ravensthorpe
Person: Tarben
Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest The Baker's Plaint.
This quest will appear in your journal when you visit the longhouse in your settlement some time after completing the quest "The Baker's Plaint". You will meet Tekla there.
Tekla has been robbed, and the thieves seek a Saxon man named "Guthban." Search the settlement for him.
Talk to Tekla and she will tell you that she was robbed. She will mention to you someone called "Guthban".
You can talk to several people, but the best way is to go directly to the baker's hut and talk to Tarben. He will admit that he is Guthban and tell you about the life he once led as a mercenary. You will decide to help him get rid of his "old friends" who threaten him.
When you are ready to go, talk to Tarben and tell him about this. Then get on your horse and follow Tarben until you reach a small house south of Ledecestre where the bandits are staying. As you ride, Tarben will tell you a little bit about the bandit leader named Wilf.
To "free" Tarben, Wilf will want you to perform a certain task for him - recover his goods seized by soldiers.
Travel to Glen Ford Camp. The chest you need to take is located in the central part of the camp and the camp itself is well guarded. When you are detected, Tarben will join the fight.
Return to Wilf and hand him the recovered goods.
Get on your horse and return with Tarben to your settlement.
Tarben will thank you and this quest will end.
