To get this quest, you need to build Hunter's Hut in your settlement. This will be possible once your settlement reaches level 2. To build this building you need 600 Supplies and 45 Raw Materials.
Petra has seen some wolves too close to the settlement. They will need to be dealt with.

When you talk to Petra she will tell you about a pack of wolves roaming around your settlement and ask for your help in eliminating them.
Follow Petra until you reach the hills north of your settlement. Once there, you will see a flock of dead sheep and meet a fleeing man calling for help.
Together with Petra, kill six wolves that will attack you after a while.
To complete this quest talk to the farmer.
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest Have You Seen This Man?.
