Quest Group: Side Quests
In order to enter one of the missile silo bunkers you have to become an Enclave general. In order to do this you have to complete main story quest Officer on Deck.
Secure {Missile Silo Location} and prep for launch.
I should explore {Missile Silo Location} and make my way to its Control Room.
This is the main objective of this mission. You will have to fight through many areas full of robots and turrets. Completing the objectives will open up the laser grids to the next areas and finally you will reach the control room where the launch area is located.
Note: Having hacking skill at level 3 is very helpful here. Each area of the bunker has a terminal that controls local turrets and reprogramming them to attack the robots you'll have to deal with is a great help.
Just inside {Missile Silo Location}, a laser grid blocks the way forward. I need to find a way to bypass the security system.
Find the Security Station Terminal > Security Protocol - Security Station Alpha (Bravo / Charlie).
Just inside {Missile Silo Location}, a laser grid blocks the way forward. In order to pass, I need to create and register a Biometric ID Card with the security system.
Find the Biometrics System Terminal > Operating Instructions.
You should find one old card on a nearby desk (There are more such cards, you will find them in different places).
Use the ID Card Eraser.
Locate and enter the Biometric Scanner.
Wait until the scan progress bar reaches 100%.
Return to Biometric System Terminal > Fabricate Biometric ID. You will receive Biometric Card ID.
Activate the ID Card Registration System. The laser grid will turn off and you will be able to go further.
{Missile Silo Location}'s reactors have broken down, flooding the Reactor Area with radiation and triggering a security lockdown. I need to find a way to end the lockdown.
You will receive this mission objective when you reach the reactor rooms. In the reactor rooms there is a high level of radioactivity so you will need to use a power armor or a hazmat suit. You can find a hazmat suit in one of the power house rooms.
Locate the Reactor Control Terminal in the main reactor room > Power System Repair Instructions.
Use the Reactor Control Terminal again and this time select > Shut Down Reactors.
You now have three minutes to repair all pipes in the main reactor room (if I counted correctly, it is fourteen of them). If you don't manage to do it in time, you will have to shut down the reactor again and start repairing from the beginning.
Pipes will not be marked. Cracks, hissing sound and steam that comes out of them should help you locate them.
Use the Reactor Control Terminal > Restart Reactors.
You can now go to the next section of the bunker.
{Missile Silo Location}'s Operations Mainframe has locked down the Operations Center. In order to break through, I need to destroy the mainframe.
The next task will be to destroy quite a large number of Mainframe Cores. As the destruction progresses, the laser grids blocking the passage to the next rooms where you will find more cores will disappear. Finally, the barrier blocking the passage to the next section of the bunker will disappear.
The door leading out of {Missile Silo Location}'s Storage Area is sealed. I need to find a way to open it.
Use the Facilities Mainframe terminal.
The Facilities Mainframe in {Missile Silo Location}'s Storage Area has broken down. I need to repair or find replacements for its damaged Mainframe Cores in order to restart it.
You have to replace fifteen mainframe cores. Some replacements can be found lying around. You can also craft new ones at a nearby tinker's workbench (don't forget to pull out the broken mainframe cores).
To repair a broken mainframe core you need:
I've repaired the Facilities Mainframe in {Missile Silo Location}'s Storage Area. I should be able to use it to open the nearby door.
When you replace all mainframe cores, use the Facilities Mainframe terminal again > Continue > Security Door Control > Open Door.
You can now go to the last section of the bunker - Control Room.
I've entered {Missile Silo Location}'s Control Room. In order to begin the launch sequence, I need to initiate Launch Prep.
Activate the Launch Control Terminal > Initiate Launch Prep.
I've entered {Missile Silo Location}'s Control Room and begun Launch Prep. I need to defend the Launch Crew Chiefs until they can complete the process.
The progress bar must reach 100%.
Defend the friendly robots against the enemy robots attacking them.
If one of the launch crew robots is destroyed.
I explored {Missile Silo Location}.
Why did you come here? It's time to nuke something! ;-)
