The first stage of this quest will appear in your Pip-Boy in the miscellaneous section when you enter The Burrows.
Journey through The Burrows to find the source of robotic activity.
You can get into the sewers through one of the two manholes: The Burrows North or The Burrows South.

A Brotherhood of Steel Field Scribe was investigating robotic activity in an underground Pump Station near Harpers Ferry. I think I'll look into this.
When you get inside, you should come across a corpse in which you can find the holotape - Burrows Mission Brief.
Continue through the sewers and find the gate shown in the picture below.
I need to go through the Old Tunnel to get to The Burrows, but the gate is locked. There's likely a key nearby.
Next to the gate, there is a note on the ground that will suggest where you can find the key.
I've found the key that unlocks the Old Tunnel Gate in The Burrows.
The Burrows Old Tunnel Key is in the "throne room".
Pump Station access is restricted by a maglock door. The Pump Station Access Terminal should be able to open it.
Activate the Pump Station Access Terminal.
The valve is located in the side corridor.
When you turn the valve, go back to the terminal and use it again > Open Door.
Continue through the tunnel and find the metal door shown in the picture below.
The Brotherhood Intel was correct - the Pump Station is covered with robots. I should search the station for evidence of their origin.
If your hacking skill is high enough then you can use the terminal to open the door to the control room.
If you don't have the right skills, you need to go around killing several robots along the way.
Continue until you reach the pump room.
I've found the source of activity - several robot fabricators and an Assaultron in the pump room. I should take care of the threat and defeat the Assaultron.
When you kill all security robots, the quest will end.
