Quest stages of Officer on Deck

1. Speak with MODUS in the bunker Military Wing

I've finished up basic training. Now I just need to check in with MODUS to get started on earning my access to the bunker's Command Center.

Go to the bunker Military Wing, find MODUS Military Wing Terminal and listen to MODUS.

2. Register with the Promotion System

Sounds like I need to register myself with the bunker's automated promotion system, which I can do at any military systems terminal.

Activate the Military System Terminal > Activate automated Promotion System.

3. Earn Promotion Commendations (x/10)

I've registered myself with the Whitespring's automated promotion system. It seems there are a number of ways I can collected the commendations needed to earn promotions. The military terminals seem to have more information on how they can be earned.

3.1. (Optional) Kill starred Epic Ceatures or Scorchbeasts to earn Combat Commendations

Event: Leader of the Pack, Event: Uranium Fever or Horde events are great for legendary mobs, as you have to kill some of them.

You can kill Scorchbeasts.

One of the easiest ways to kill a scorchbeast is go to Survey Camp Alpha or Firebase Major, repair the Surface to Air Missile turrets (it costs steel, circuitry, gear, and oil to repair, and you may need to repair it more than once during the fight), pull the Scorchbeast from the nearby fissure site and have the turret shoot it down. To get credit, you must shoot or hit the beast yourself at least once.
There is another scorchbeast at the end of the Glassed Cavern. This one won't fly so you can just melee it to death.
You will also have to kill a scorchbeast while doing the Event: Line in the Sand quest.

3.2. (Optional) Complete Enclave Events to earn Support Operation Commendations

There are three Enclave events:

Enclave Event: A Real Blast - {Target Location} (awards 2 commendations)
Enclave Event: Bots on Parade (awards 1 commendation)
Enclave Event: Dropped Connection - {Parent Location} (awards 1 commendation)

3.3. (Optional) Become President to bypass the promotion process

Not yet available in the game. Maybe it will be in the future? :-P It will probably be related to [quest]2865[/quest] quest.

4. (Quest completed)

Success! I've earned sufficient commendations to earn myself the rank of General and gain appointment to the Joint Chiefs!

This quest will end automatically when you get the right number of commendations.

You will receive: Missile Silo State Holotape, Commendation, Enclave Officer Hat, Enclave Officer Uniform and Last Bastion.

After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest I Am Become Death.
