Quest stages of Salve for a Fresh Wound
1. Speak to Acha
Talk to Acha. You will find her near the north gate of the city. She will tell you where you should go to find Hunwald.
2. Find and speak to Hunwald
Travel to Ealdorman's Overlook. Hunwald set up his camp near a large tree growing on a hill.
You will begin to talk. The options you choose don't matter much. While drinking and talking you will spend the night together. The next morning Hunwald will suggest that you travel to Grimsby to meet his beloved.
3. Escort Hunwald
Get on your horse and ride with Hunwald. At some point you will reach a canyon and hear some alarming noises.
4. Eliminate the threat
There are several bandits hiding on both sides of the canyon, most of them in the tall grass and even using Odin's Sight won't help you locate them from a longer distance. Your best bet is to sneak from one patch of grass to another and try to assassinate as many of them as possible silently.
5. Speak to Hunwald / Escort Hunwald
Once you get rid of all the attackers talk to Hunwald. After a while you will continue your further way to Grimsby. Nothing else will interfere with your journey and when you reach the village you will meet Swanburrow there.
You will talk for a while. Hunwald will tell his fiancée what has happened and will then stay with her in Grimsby until the meeting to choose the next ealdorman begins. This will end this quest.
After completing Salve for a Fresh Wound you will get or will be able to get Where the Stone Falls (1 of 2).
