Interactive map of Francia, the new region we can explore in the Siege of Paris (SoP) DLC for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla (ACV). Opals, Frankish Nobles, Roman Excavations, Treasure Hoard Maps, World Events, Books of Knowledge, Weapons and Armor Parts, etc.

The troubled kingdom of Francia is ruled over by Charlemagne’s feckless great-grandson, Charles the Fat. Reunited for the first time in a century, the Franks nevertheless struggle against political uncertainty within and a determined Norse invasion from without.

Frankish Nobles

The Frankish Nobles are three siblings who are holding a grudge against the Vikings. You will have to duel them to the death.

The Cavalier / Gerswinda du Lilibonne She drops the Grass-Stained Letter.

The Duelist / Herbert du Lilibonne He drops the Finely Written Letter.

The Hunter / Amric du Lilibonne Initially, he will be marked on the map using the world event icon. The opponent will appear when you open the chest located here. Do not step on the red circles on the ground because they are explosive traps. He drops the Woolly Letter.

Roman Excavations

Roman Excavations are places where you have to find keys. Once you find all three keys, you can use them to unlock the entrance to Lutetia Bureau.

Champlieu Ruins Break the wooden barrier on the ground, go down the ladder and open the door. Related quests: Hidden.

Diodurum Ruins You will be able to get inside the ruins through a tunnel starting in a nearby pond. Related quests: Hidden.

Gisacum Ruins The ruins have been taken over by bandits and you will find the entrance to the underground in the central part. Related quests: Hidden.

Treasure Hoard Maps

Melun Hoard Map The map is located in a room which entrance is hidden behind a waterfall. To get inside you must destroy the stone wall. If you need a jar of oil then you will find one in the locked room where the nearby ingot is.

Paris Hoard Map The map is located in a room located at the top of the tower. Destroy the lock and enter the church through the door on the first floor and then climb to the upper level of the tower. Watch out for rats.

Treasure Hoard Map Treasures

Melun Hoard Map (Treasure) It's the Ouroboros Scheme (Back).

Paris Hoard Map (Treasure) It's the Oriflamme Scheme (Back). It's at the bottom of the well.

World Events

Hidden Justice On the spot you will find two civilians who are attacked by a few soldiers. Help the civilians and kill all the soldiers. Then talk to the man and he will want to give you a treasure map as a thank you. You will have three options.

Not God Enough Enter the church, you will be attacked by the three people who are there. When you kill them just read the letter you find lying on the floor near the wooden statue.

Stealing From Thieves Kill some bandits located in the camp and take the crate - the Smuggled Cargo, lying on the table. This event will end and you will receive a new quest - "A Package for Paris".

The Ghost of Saint Germain At the site, you'll find people looking fearfully in the direction of a nearby church. Climb up the tower of the church and read the letter lying next to the corpse you find there.

The King of Rats Enter the house and kill the two soldiers you encounter inside. Destroy the boards that cover the entrance to the cellar and go down. Read the letter that lies on the table next to the wooden throne. Watch out for rats.

Ulfberht Sword Get rid of the enemies and read the note which you can find in the encampment. You will receive a map showing the place where you should go.

Books of Knowledge

Golden Flame Melee ability. To get to the book you must climb the tower and then by destroying obstacles and moving racks go down two levels.

Golden Flame Melee ability. The book is located in the same room as the Diodurum Ruins key.

Goule Breath Ranged ability. You can find the book in the main church. It is best to take it during or after the raid.

Goule Breath Ranged ability. The book is located in the Champlieu Ruins. To get to the room it is in, you must first move (pull) the rack blocking the passage so that the opening near the floor will be on the other side of the rack.

Plague of Rats Ranged ability. The book is located further down in the Gisacum Ruins. To get there you must destroy two stone walls.

Gear

Bellatores Robe You will get to the chest that contains this cloak during the quest "The Rot in the Slums". Related quests: The Rot in the Slums.

Bloodied Scythe The chest is located in a locked building that you must get to during the quest "Honor and Enemies".

Durendal Short sword. Chest is at the bottom of the well.

Joyeuse Mythical short sword. The chest is inside Lutetia Bureau. In order to get here, you need to complete some steps that are described in the "Hidden" quest. Related quests: Hidden.

Paladin Bracers You can enter the building where the chest is located through the front door. To get to the room with the chest you will need a key located in the room on the upper floor.

Paladin Chainmail You can get to the room where the chest is located through a small window on the river side. But first you should get the key required to open the chest. You can find it in the cellar, which you can also get to from the river side.

Paladin Helm The chest is located in the cellar, which you can get down by the ladder near the fort's palisade.

Paladin Hood The chest is in the basement. The entrance is in a small crypt next to the church and is locked. The key is held by one of the monks you'll find in a nearby village. You must steal from him.

Paladin Pants You will find the chest in the red tent located in the bandit camp.

Scythe of Tribulation The chest is located in the underground. To get there you have to swim through a flooded tunnel that starts inside a small chapel.

Wretched Scythe The chest is in the basement and you will find the entrance to it at the back of the house.

Ingots

Tungsten Ingot You can get to the house where the chest is located from the roof of a neighboring house. You will find the key you need to open the chest on the upper floor and the chest on the first floor.

Tungsten Ingot The chest is located in one of the buildings. To open it you will need a key which is held by Gedriht who is in the main church.

Tungsten Ingot To enter the building where the chest is, you must destroy the lock on the front door by shooting at it through the grated door on the other side.

Tungsten Ingot The chest is located in ruins controlled by bandits. One of the bandits has the key needed to open it.

Tungsten Ingot To get inside, shoot down the net covering a small window and enter through that window.

Tungsten Ingot The chest is located in the basement. One of the entrances is outside the city walls, just east of this marker. To open the chest you will need a key which you will find in the adjacent room which you can enter through a small opening near the floor.

Tungsten Ingot The chest is located in the catacombs under the Saint-Merri church. The entrance is in a small crypt next to the church. The key to the gate can be found in the church in a vase that you must break.

Over centuries following the fall of the Roman Empire, Rome became unhappy with the growing power of Constantinople in the East. So, in 795 AD, the western bishops cheekily named Leo III Pope in the West. On Christmas Day 800 AD, Leo crowned a reluctant Charlemagne as Emperor of the Romans, sealing the deal and forever splitting Christendom into East and West. The collection of Christianized tribes Charlemagne already ruled became the new kingdom of Francia.

Abbo of Cernuus, when describing the siege of Paris in 885 AD, would have us believe Francia was God’s kingdom on earth, that its Pope alone spoke for God, and its king battled demonic hordes of Norse on behalf of all Heaven. But then, nothing about that tricky little Benedictine monk was straightforward.

Melunois

Ravaged by fighting between Charles and the Norse, the once flowered fields and forests of Melunois were by 885 AD scarred by burning and logging. Charles had forced Sigfred and his clan to Melunois from the North, something he later came to regret as it put them within handy striking distance of Paris. Whoops.

Paris

Despite decades of attacks from the Norse and regular ransoming by impuissant kings, 9th Century Paris endured undaunted. Neither Ragnar nor the plague could break the Parisians’ stubborn faith. Perhaps there's something to the legend of Saint Germain protecting the city. More likely they were just a bloody tough lot.

Evresin

Many Norse eventually moved northward after taking Paris, giving the area its modern name of Normandy. But in the 9th Century the north of Francia was called Evresin, and its people suffered beneath the oppression of particularly nasty religious fanaticism. Odd how those things so often appear together in history.

Amienois

Wedged between Paris and Evresin, 9th Century Amienois contained the disputed ancestral lands of Count Odo's family and was famed for its colored textiles. The area also held the township of Amiens, home to an Amphitheatre offering entertainment both whimsical and banal. Not surprisingly, Charles the Fat loved the place.
