Pricking the Needle Assassin's Creed Valhalla Quest

1. Search the Trade Depot

Head to the trade depot. You can get inside the building through the roof.

Get rid of the enemies you find there and read the orders you find on the table located in the side room.

2. Seek out The Needle

Then head to the Coppergate Market and look for the stalls draped with black cloth. If you overhear the conversation of the guards you encounter in the market then you will receive another clue about The Needle - "His guards gather in the market at night". You can also try to steal the key from one of them in the process.

Then, after dark in the eastern part of the market, you will find guards. When you follow them they will lead you to a house where the entrance to the hideout is located. You will have to kill the guards.

Another way (easier one) to find The Needle's hiding place is to look for the stall marked with a black cloth and talk to its owner. You will not learn much from him, but then you can talk to the boy who will also be there. You will receive another clue or clues (depending on whether you already have the key) - "His hideout is near a statue east of the market" and "The key is hidden around the statue".

The house where the entrance to The Needle's hideout is located is in the eastern part of the city. The door is locked with a key.

You can steal the key from one of the guards at the market. You can also simply kill him and take the key from his corpse. You can also find the key behind the statue standing near a house (as long as the boy told you about it).

3. Explore the sewers

Descend into the sewers and follow the canals. A part of it you will have to swim underwater. Eventually you will reach a larger room where The Needle's men are melting silver. Kill the guards and take the key you will find in the corpse of one of them. Use this key to open the door on the right.

In the room you enter you will meet The Needle, it's dockmaster Grigorii. Unfortunately you won't be able to kill him because he is standing on the other side of the grate. Grogorii will escape and you will be attacked by his soldiers.

4. Confront The Needle at Coppergate Market

Kill the soldiers and then go outside through the tunnel the game suggests.

Then get to the rooftops, you can use the lift.

When you get to the roof you will see Grigorii killing a disloyal merchant to threaten others.

5. Assassinate The Needle

Needle is in the company of several elite guards. You can kill his guards first, but you can also air assassinate him (then you won't have to confirm the kill) and just run away. You will loot the medallion and the council seal from his corpse.

6. (Optional) Return to Ljufvina

If you completed this quest before completing quest "Burning the Firebrand", then you will have to return to the royal hall and inform Ljufvina that you have completed the first part of your task. Otherwise, quest "Closing The Vault" will begin immediately.

Return to the royal hall and tell Ljufvina who was The Needle. Hjorr will initially doubt that you killed the right person, but when you show him the seal that The Needle was using he will stop doubting. This will end this quest.
