Prey in the High Hall Assassin's Creed Valhalla Quest
Group: The Legend of Beowulf
This quest starts automatically after Wulfhilda tells you about another place where dead livestock were found, which happens at the end of the quest "A Fiend out of Hell".
Wulfhilda and Eivor have a lead on a roving war-band near the site of the first animal attack. Time to learn whether this is the work of man or beast.

Prior quests
To begin Prey in the High Hall you must first complete A Fiend out of Hell.
Quest stages of Prey in the High Hall
1. Reach the first mauling site / Kill the wolves
Together with Wulfhilda, go to the northeastern location she told you about. When you get there you will see three wolves attacking an old woman. Kill the wolves.
2. Speak to the woman
Talk to the woman. She will thank you for saving her from the wolves and mention an axe belonging to Hrothgar that she found.
3. Follow Wulfhilda to Brisleah
Follow Wulfhilda until you reach Brisleah Farm and enter the church.
Hrothgar will not be among the dead so you decide to search for him.
4. Explore the church to look for Hrothgar
Shoot down the ladder inside the church and climb it up.
You will find mortally wounded Hrothgar on the upper level. Approach and talk to him. Before he dies, he will tell you who is responsible for all this.
5. Keep watch with Wulfhilda
Interact with the spot near the railing to start the meditation and wait for Grendel to appear.
6. Defeat Grendel
You can take advantage of the fact that Grendel is unaware of your presence and assasinate him or kill him in any other way.
Once you defeat him, you will realize that he was no monster, just a somewhat strange man. Eivor will note the mold covering everything. This quest will end and you will receive a new one - "Ever As Fate Must".
After completing Prey in the High Hall you will get or will be able to get Ever As Fate Must.
