Of Blood and Bonds Assassin's Creed Valhalla Quest
Group: Eurvicscire / The Sayings of Halfdan
This quest will begin after Halfdan informs you at the end of the quest "Honor's Hubris", that he intends to take the throne in Jorvik.
The traitor, King Ricsige, has been exposed and it seems that the knives in the dark have finally retreated.

To begin Of Blood and Bonds you must first complete Honor's Hubris.
Quest stages of Of Blood and Bonds
1. Return to the Royal Hall
Return to the Royal Hall in Jorvik. The ceremony will only start if Halfdan is present, but he is not there. To find out his whereabouts, talk to Moira.
Halfdan who is talking to Faravid can be found on the walls north of the Royal Hall. Talk to him and then he will return to the throne room and sit on the throne.
When you are ready to start the coronation, talk to Halfdan and select the option "I've had enough drink".
2. Witness Halfdan's coronation
During the coronation, Halfdan will make a toast using the chalice he received from Faravid and will start choking. Moira will recognize that the metal that the cup is made of is lead.
Halfdan will accuse Faravid of trying to poison him and you will have to make a decision:
- You are insane, Halfdan. - You support Faravid which makes Halfdan very angry. Faravid survives but will be banished.
- Stand down or fight me, Faravid. - You will have to fight with Faravid. When you defeat him he will say something that will make Halfdan angry and Halfdan will kill him.
3. (Optional) Escort Faravid out of Jorvik
If you have supported Faravid and he is banished then you will have to escort him to the city gates.
When you ask him if he knew that the goblets were made of lead, he will give you a curt reply and ride away, thus you will not find out if he was a traitor.
4. (Optional) Defeat Faravid
This optional objective will be active if you have chosen to support Halfdan and confront Faravid. Faravid uses a long sword, so his range is large and the arena you're fighting in is relatively small. From time to time he will throw a smoke bomb on the floor which will significantly reduce visibility for a while. He can also heal himself a bit.
When you defeat him, he will say something that will make Halfdan angry and Halfdan will kill him. When the Jarl realizes what he has done he will start to weep. You will say goodbye to him and he will give you a bracelet as a symbol of your clans friendship.
After completing Of Blood and Bonds you will get or will be able to get Reporting on Eurvicscire.
