Quest stages of Family Matters

1. Speak to Gunnar the blacksmith

Talk to Gunnar, the local blacksmith,...

...and he will upgrade your father's axe for free. In the future you will be able to make further improvements here as long as you have the right materials.

2. Complete "A Seer's Solace"

To be able to talk to king Styrbjorn you must first complete the "A Seer's Solace" quest.

3. Speak to Randvi

When you are ready to talk to the king, talk to Randvi, who is sitting next to the entrance to the long house, and she will inform you that the audience is coming to the end and you can go inside.

When you get inside, you will witness the end of the King's conversation with a messenger named Guthorm the Wise. After a while the messenger will leave and you will be able to talk to the king about your disobedience.

  • Your diplomacy is cowardice.

The conversation will be interrupted by Randvi, who will run inside and inform you about Sigurd's return.

After completing Family Matters you will get or will be able to get The Prodigal Prince.
