Vedrad is a forested area north of New Serene. The species of trees with flaming foliage in this forest are probably at the origin of its native name: "the red woods".

This village is that of Gaís rad, the red spear clan. Its native name means "the spear wood", because the clan that built it has always been famous in combat, and the whole island knows the courage and the honour of its warriors.
Its elders tell many stories of battles, including the one that set them against the people of the sea who had settled nearby. A legend even has it that before this mythical battle, the trees of the surrounding forest offered their branches to defend the island. The spears of fallen warriors are used to decorate the village.
This ancient Burial mound whose name means "resting place of queens" in the native language is a sacred site for the Gaís rad clan; this place is where their leaders are "returned to the ground".
This village is that of Beraíg nodas, the clan of sap carriers; its native name means "the healed wound". Indeed this clan includes many doneigada whose particular role is to heal the wounds of the island.
Formerly, this clan was nomadic and went where nature needed it, but after the legendary battles between the natives and the people of the sea, the Beraíg nodas spent so much time healing this battle-ravaged place that they finally settled there.
These strange ruins that look more like the continent's buildings than natives' homes were devastated by a legendary battle. The natives say that a city built by a people of the sea stood here, and that it was the first to be swept away by the giant creatures that the natives call guardians. It is in this mythical and symbolically very strong site that Queen Bládnid chose to face the Bridge Alliance.
When the natives want to seal a pact or an agreement, they bring in a guardian of promises who inscribe symbols in the stone in the sacred language of the doneigada corresponding to this agreement. It is in this sacred clearing that the natives set up these stones. Falrhistel means besides the "promises set in stone".
This outpost was established by the Bridge Alliance to accommodate their troops before the great battle against Queen Bládnid. Since their victory, these troops have mostly returned to Hikmet, and the camp is mainly used to treat the wounded while maintaining their hold on the surrounding territories.
