After completing The Battle of the Red Spears quest, you will be able to explore nearby ruins.

There you will find a strange, ancient fresco.

The you should go back to Constantine and let him know what you found.

He will tell you that you should consult Lady Morange.

1. Question Lady Morange
Go to the Lady Morange's house and ask Lady Morange about the ruins on the battlefield. She will tell you about the other ancient ruins you should visit.

2. Go to the old mine indicated by Lady Morange / Ask about the ruins among the miners
Go to the Mine Village in Glendgnámvár. Talk to the miner. Ask about the ruins and about the mines.


3. Find a passage toward the plateau inside the mine
Find the closed gate and examine the broken lock mechanism located next to it.


Get Damaged cog and Recipe: New cog out of the crate located next to the gate.

There is a workbench in the mine. Use it to create a new cog. You can also buy a new cog from Merchant in the village. The price is 50 coins.

Now you can go back to the gate and fix the broken mechanism.
4. Reach the ruins
Go ahead. Kill the beasts that stand in your way and leave the mine.

5. Search the ruins to find out their origin

In the barrel you'll find the Old rusty key.

In the chest you will find Ancient seal. You need the Old rusty key or Lockpicking 1 to open it.

In another chest you will find the Old and almost illegible journal.

6. Report your discovery to Constantin
Return to Constantin and report the discovery of the ruins.
