This village is that of the council where the kings of all the clans of the island meet and elect their High King. Maybe that's the reason, or because it's so close to the volcano, that its name means the "door of renewal".
Its inhabitants, the Vogelaíg credeis, the guardians of the heart, are in charge of organising these meetings. But most of all, they are the protectors of the most sacred sanctuary of the island, whose entry is not far.
This mysterious cave is used for the test of water, supposed to reveal the intentions and the heart of the anyone who accomplishes it. All those who are brought to visit the Credhenes sanctuary to meet En on míl frichtimen must visit it and report their response to the leader of the Vogelaíg credeis.
