The Sons of Ragnar Assassin's Creed Valhalla Quest

1. Find and speak to Sigurd

Head to Repton. The easiest way to get there is by boat. When you get to the village, enter the local church (the largest building) and you will meet Ivarr there.

2. Follow Ivarr

Follow Ivarr to the tent where you will meet Sigurd and Ubba. There you will witness a small quarrel between Ubba and Tonna, the leader of another clan. Then you will meet Ceolwulf, whom you decide to help to take the throne of Mercia from King Burgred.

3. Speak with Ubba

When you are ready to move on, find Ubba near the river. After a while Ivarr will join you, who will bring Ceowulf's son with him, because he wants to take him to the battle. During the conversation you will be able to express your opinion about taking a young, unprepared boy into battle.

• Ceolwulf worried about succession already?
• Can this boy even fight?
• This is a bad idea.

4. Travel to Tamworth

Then go to Tamworth, where the siege of the fortress is ongoing. King Burgred, despite your overwhelming advantage and the suggestions of his advisor - Leofrith, will not be willing to give up. So you will have no choice but to prepare for the attack on the fortress.

5. Speak with the captain

Go to the nearby war camp where your troops are stationed and when you are ready to start fighting, talk to the captain.

Before you begin the siege, you will talk to Ceolbert for a moment. He is worried about his friends on the other side of the wall.

6. Breach the first gate

When the attack starts, you can wait patiently until the battering ram breaks the gate but you can also climb a ladder on the castle walls.

Then you can get close to the gate, destroy the locks and open it.

7. Destroy the palisade

Now your task is to defend the battering ram until it destroys another gate. You can also jump over the palisade and destroy the explosive containers that are on the other side. The explosion will destroy the blockade.

8. Breach the second gate

Again, you can wait until the battering ram does the work or you can climb the walls and go to the other side and then destroy the locks on the gate and open it from the inside.

9. Defeat King Burgred's elites 0/2

Keep pushing forward. Near the king's main headquarters located on top of the hill you will have to face two skirmishers. When you defeat them the fortress will be captured.

10. Enter King Burgred's keep / Search the keep for hints of the king's whereabouts

Help Ubba open the door and get inside. The king managed to escape so you will decide to search his quarters. Find the note in one of the rooms.

11. Report back to Ivarr

Approach Ivarr who fell asleep on the throne. Ubba, Sigurd and Ceolwulf will join you. When you show them the letter you found, they will recognize the emblem from the letter - it's Tonna's sigil. You will decide to talk to Tonna because this is currently the only lead you have that will let you figure out where Burgred is hiding.
