Mistress of the Iron Wood Assassin's Creed Valhalla Quest

1. Find and speak to Angrboda

Head into the Heart of the Wood. The house is hidden by Jotnar magic. To make it visible you must stand between two poles with deer skulls, on the stone circle shown in the picture below and look in the right direction. Then after a while you should see a hut and the stairs you can use to get to it.

Enter the hut and you will meet Angrboda and Hyrrokin there.

When you tell Angrboda the reason of your visit, Hyrrokin will join the conversation and tell you that in order to achieve your goal you should get the mead and then leave the hut.

Angrboda agrees to help you and says that for this purpose she needs you to get some roots for her.

2. Find and enter the waterfall

Head to the Leyna Falls. The waterfall is also covered with magic.

To see it climb the rocks behind the stone gate.

Go through the gate and jump down.

3. Find and gather the roots 0/3

Follow the corridor until you reach a large cave. You must collect three roots. The first one is located on the left side.

Collect the root and continue down the corridor straight ahead.

To get to the next root you will have to go down the corridor and then swim a bit.

Swim further to get back to the large cave. Walk over the giant branch and then climb up the rocks.

Go through the corridor ahead...

...and then jump over the rocks on the left to get to the last of the roots.

4. Bring the roots

In order to get out of the cave you have to find a different route from the one you came here by. Proceed to the opening at the top of the cave you are in.

Next proceed to the exit which is located above. Follow the corridor and after a while you will leave the cave.

Return to Angrboda's hut. Eivor will give her the roots and after a while she will prepare a potion for him. When Eivor drinks it Angrboda will ask him a question. No matter which option you choose, it will turn out that it was a trick and Eivor drank the potion of truth that makes him unable to lie.

Loki will also show up in the hut. You will learn that the wolf you trapped during one of your quests in Asgard is the son of Loki and Angrboda, and that its name is Fenrir. Loki will ask you what you wanted to do with the wolf.

Eivor will tell the whole truth about what he intended to do.

Angrboda and Loki decide to treat you with the same fate that you wanted to treat their child and they will imprison you.

However, Hyrrokin will appear and set you free. She will tell you how to get the mead and in return she will want you to share it with her. This quest will end and you will receive two more quests - "The Lost Cauldron" and "A Gift from the Past".
