Holy Day Assassin's Creed Valhalla Quest
Group: Hamtunscire / The Prophecies of the King
This quest starts after completing the quest "Kingdom's End". Guthrum and your allies will be waiting for you near Chepeham which you are going to attack.

To begin Holy Day you must first complete Kingdom's End.
Quest stages of Holy Day
1. Travel to the forward camp / Speak with Guthrum
Head to the forward camp located near Chepeham. All your allies will already be on you at the camp. If you feel like it, you can speak with them.
Then talk to Guthrum and Soma who are standing on the hill. When you are ready to launch the assault, let Guthrum know about it - "Let us go over the plan and attack."
2. Find and confront Aelfred
The attack will begin when it gets dark. Head towards the village of Chepeham and enter the church located there. Front door will not be locked.
You will not find King Aelfred inside, just Goodwin. You will talk for a while and then the duel with him will begin.
3. Defeat Goodwin
Goodwin uses a sword and a large shield. Because of this, he is mainly a melee fighter, but he can also use throwing knives and fire bombs. You should try to block, parry or avoid his attacks and then counterattack. At some point during the fight, Goodwin will set his sword on fire which will allow him to deal extra damage to you.
When his lifebar drops to zero, you will be able to decide his fate.
- I will kill you. - Eivor will kill him.
- I can still use you yet. - Goodwin will not want to go into captivity and will kill himself.
4. Help your allies
After finishing the duel with Goodwin you will automatically leave the church and and you realize that it was a trap. Unfortunately for Soma, it will end tragically.
You will receive new objective, you will have to help your allies.
- Guthrum is at the longhouse, securing the thegns
- Ljufvina is to the west, looking for Aelfred's tracks
- Broder is at the east gate, capturing the garrison
4.1. Help Guthrum / Capture the thegn
First head to the longhouse as it is the closest. As you enter, Guthrum will tell you about some soldiers that have locked themselves on the far side with a thegn.
Climb over the wall above the door leading to the barred room and drop down on the other side. Kill the soldiers and then approach the thegn and tie him up.
4.2. Help Ljufvina / Carry Hunwald
Head to the western side of the village. There you should find Ljufvina fighting with the enemy soldiers. He will inform you that one of your Saxon friends has been wounded. It is Hunwald who you will find near the tree.
Pick him up and carry him over to the nearby farmhouse. Unfortunately, Hunwald's wounds will prove to be very serious.
4.3. Help Broder / Destroy the garrison gate / Secure the garrison
Head to the southern part of the village where Broder is attacking the garrison. He will ask you for help in destroying the garrison gate.
To do this, go around the walls to the other side of the garrison, climb the rocks there and then shoot the jars standing near the gate to blow it up. Then kill any remaining enemies in the garrison.
5. Regroup with your allies / Defeat the Saxons
Return to the town centre to regroup with your allies. When you arrive, you will have to deafeat the remaining Saxon soldiers. Once you have killed enough the fight will be over.
6. Speak to Guthrum
You will inform Guthram of the death of some of your friends and then you will arrange a funeral for them.
You can start the funeral ceremony right away or talk to your allies first.
After the funeral, you'll have another chat with Guthrum about faith, life after death and your plans for the future, after which this quest will end.
After completing Holy Day you will get or will be able to get Reporting on Hamtunscire.
