A New Home Assassin's Creed Valhalla Quest

Group: Ravensthorpe

You will receive this quest after finishing the conversation with Sigurd at the end of the quest "Settling Down". Your task will be to expand your settlement over time.

The settlement is your home. Build it, grow it, and reap the rewards.

Prior quests

To begin A New Home you must first complete Settling Down.

Quest stages of A New Home

1. Reach settlement level 2 (Colony)

To reach the second level you have to build two buildings.

After reaching the second level you will get new opportunities. You will be able to build: Shipyard, Tattoo Shop, Museum, Fishing Hut, Hunter's Hut, Brewery, and Bakery.

2. Reach settlement level 3 (Hamlet)

After reaching the third level you will get new opportunities. You will be able to build: Cattle Farm, Grain Farm, Cartographer, Alvis and Holger's House, and Fowl Farm. You will also receive a new quest - A Wise Friend and Seer's Hut.

3. Reach settlement level 4 (Borough)

After reaching the fourth level you will get new opportunities. You will be able to build: Kari's House, Cattle Farm (Expansion), Grain Farm (Expansion), Fowl Farm (Expansion), and Mayda's House.

4. Reach settlement level 5 (Village)

After reaching the fourth level you will get new opportunities. You will be able to build: Cattle Farm (Expansion), Grain Farm (Expansion), Fowl Farm (Expansion).

5. Reach settlement level 6 (Town)

I am almost certain that this will be one of the last, if not the last, quest you will complete, because in order for your settlement to reach level 6, you must complete all alliance quests in England, raid all monasteries for raw materials, and gather enough supplies to build and upgrade all the buildings in your settlement. As you explore the world, you should take every opportunity to collect the contents of chests containing supplies. They look like the one in the image below.

When you do this, your settlement will achieve the status of Town and this quest will end.

It is official. Ravensthorpe is now a Town, one large enough to sing about!

And most likely important enough to register in King Aelfred's Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, should he keep up the practice in spite of everything. Will Ravensthorpe withstand the scourge of time? Only history will tell.

Blacksmith

This is the first building you will build in the settlement. Building Cost: 400 Supplies, 30 Raw Materials.

Gunnar's Forge is where you enhance and customize your weapons and gear.

Stable and Aviary

It can be built at the first level of the settlement. Building Cost: 400 Supplies, 30 Raw Materials.

With Rowan, you can acquire and manage your horses and your raven.

Hidden Ones Bureau

It can be built at the first level of the settlement. Building Cost: 400 Supplies, 30 Raw Materials.

Barracks

It can be built at the first level of the settlement. Building Cost: 400 Supplies, 30 Raw Materials.

Here, Eydis will help you create your Jomsviking, recruit other players' Jomsvikings, and manage your crew. Unlock the Jomsvikings feature.

Trading Post

It can be built at the first level of the settlement. Building Cost: 400 Supplies, 30 Raw Materials.

This trading post is where you can purchase resources and unique items.

Shipyard

It can be built when the settlement reaches level two. Building Cost: 600 Supplies, 45 Raw Materials.

Gudrun and Gudmund will help you customize your longship's appearance. You can find more ship cosmetics as you explore the world.

Tattoo Shop

It can be built when the settlement reaches level two. Building Cost: 600 Supplies, 45 Raw Materials.

Use this shop to change your haircuts or adorn yourself with tattoos. New tattoo schemes can be found throughout the world.

Fishing Hut

It can be built when the settlement reaches level two. Building Cost: 600 Supplies, 45 Raw Materials.

Merton and his grandson Arth run this fishery. They will reward you for deliveries of fish. Building this shop unlocks the Fishing Line.

Hunter's Hut

It can be built when the settlement reaches level two. Building Cost: 600 Supplies, 45 Raw Materials. Unlocks the quest "The Huntress".

Wallace the tanner and Petra the hunter are looking for Legendary Animals trophies in exchange for rewards.

Bakery

It can be built when the settlement reaches level two. Building Cost: 600 Supplies, 45 Raw Materials. Unlocks the quest "The Baker's Plaint".

The bakery is where bread-master Tarben rules. Improves the Feast buff. +25.0 Health.

Brewery

It can be built when the settlement reaches level two. Building Cost: 600 Supplies, 45 Raw Materials.

The brewery is where Tekla creates the finest ale in the land. Improves the Feast buff. +25.0 Health.

Museum

It can be built when the settlement reaches level two. Building Cost: 600 Supplies, 45 Raw Materials.

Octavian lords over a collection of ancient treasures. Bring him Roman artifacts, and he will reward you.

Seer's Hut

It can be built when the settlement reaches level three. Building Cost: 800 Supplies, 60 Raw Materials.

Cartographer

It can be built when the settlement reaches level three. Building Cost: 800 Supplies, 60 Raw Materials. Unlocks the quest "A Rivalry for the Ages".

The cartographer offers maps that will pinpoint valuable items and resources that you may have missed. Unlock the ability to reveal elements on the World Map.

Cattle Farm

It can be built when the settlement reaches level three. Building Cost: 800 Supplies, 60 Raw Materials. Upgrade #1 Cost (level 4): 1000 Supplies, 85 Raw Materials. Upgrades #2/#3 Cost (level 5): 1200 Supplies, 90 Raw Materials.

A family-owned cattle farm. Improves the Feast buff. +3.0 Ranged Damage.

Grain Farm

It can be built when the settlement reaches level three. Building Cost: 800 Supplies, 60 Raw Materials. Upgrade #1 Cost (level 4): 1000 Supplies, 85 Raw Materials. Upgrades #2/#3 Cost (level 5): 1200 Supplies, 90 Raw Materials.

A farm that grows and harvests the settlement's grain. Improves the Feast buff. +3.0 Armor.

Fowl Farm

It can be built when the settlement reaches level three. Building Cost: 800 Supplies, 60 Raw Materials. Upgrade #1 Cost (level 4): 1000 Supplies, 85 Raw Materials. Upgrades #2/#3 Cost (level 5): 1200 Supplies, 90 Raw Materials.

This fowl farm is far from foul: the Raven Clan's chickens roost here. Improves the Feast buff. +3.0 Melee Damage.

Alvis and Holger's House

It can be built when the settlement reaches level three. Building Cost: 800 Supplies, 60 Raw Materials.

Kari's House

It can be built when the settlement reaches level four. Building Cost: 1000 Supplies, 85 Raw Materials.

Mayda's House

It can be built when the settlement reaches level four. Building Cost: 1000 Supplies, 85 Raw Materials.

A cozy place for Mayda. Improves the Feast buff. +3.8 Assassination Damage.

Hunwald and Swanburrow's House

It can be built after completing all quests in Lincolnscire, and Hunwald has taken up residence in your settlement. Building Cost: 400 Supplies, 30 Raw Materials.

7. Feast Buff

To start the feast, you must visit your English settlement, Ravensthorpe, and find the large bell on the left side of the longhouse entrance. Interact with this bell and then you should see the "Start Feast" screen. It will cost you a bit to start the feast, about 50 - 65 silver.

As the settlement expands, so do its feasts. Start a feast by ringing the longhouse bell to gain a timed buff.

Which bonuses you get depends on which buildings you have built in your settlement. So at first the list will be very small, but it will grow as time goes by. In the end it might look like the picture below.

Feast Buff

You can check the status and timer of your feast buff at any time on your character screen.
