Artifacts

Artifacts in God of War Ragnarök are collectible items serving as the primary method for expanding the game's lore and earning extra currency. There are 43 artifacts in total, categorized into sets like the "Stolen Treasures" or the "Family Crests." Once collected, these items can be sold to Brok or Sindri.

Berserker Gravestones

Berserker Gravestones are places where you will be able to duel with special, powerful opponents. These gravestones cannot be interacted with the first time you spot them. For this to be possible you must first acquire a special item - Inert Hilt of Skofnung. You will have the opportunity to do so during the main mission "Word of Fate".

Boat Docks

Boat Docks are places along rivers or coastlines where Kratos and Atreus can moor their boat (canoe) to disembark and explore the area on foot.

Celestial Altars

In God of War Ragnarök, Celestial Altars are stone shrines that allow you to change the time of day between day and night. They are found exclusively in the realm of Vanaheim.

Draugr Holes

In God of War Ragnarök, Draugr Holes are fiery pits scattered across the realms that spawn a powerful Draugr miniboss. Each hole must be cleared by defeating The Hateful to close it. Closing them rewards you with Chaos Sparks, which can be combined into Chaos Flames to upgrade the Blades of Chaos, along with Hacksilver, resources, and XP.

Favors

In God of War Ragnarök, Favors are optional side quests. They often involve helping NPCs, solving environmental puzzles, or defeating powerful enemies. Completing favors can grant Hacksilver, crafting materials, gear, etc. Some favors also unlock hidden pathways. While not required to finish the main story, favors are a key way to fully upgrade Kratos and Atreus, gain powerful items, and experience the depth of each realm.

Hel Tears

Closing all 6 Hel Tears is required to complete the favor "Hel to Pay". Closing the first two will happen automatically as they are the main mission objectives and cannot be missed. The favor "Hel to Pay" will appear in your journal after closing the second of the tears.

Jewels of Yggdrasil

Finding all Jewels of Yggdrasil is required to fully repair the Amulet of Yggdrasil. You will receive this amulet after defeating Nidhogg. Initially the amulet has only 2 of 9 slots unlocked, each jewel allows you to unlock an additional slot. In total, you can find 7 jewels. After getting the jewel, you should go to any of the smithies and make the upgrade.

Legendary Chests

In God of War Ragnarök you can find 60+ Legendary Chests, 53 of which must be found to complete all realms at 100%. None of these 53 chests can be missed. They are large gold chests and always contain some sort of reward.

Mystic Gateways

Mystic Gateways act as fast travel points in God of War Ragnarök. By interacting with such a waygate you will be able to travel to other waygates available at the current stage of the game.

Nine Realms in Bloom

Collecting all nine flowers is the objective of the "Nine Realms in Bloom" favor. This favor appears in your journal when you find the first of the flowers. The flowers are located in places you will reach in the later stages of the game and some of them you will be able to collect only after completing the main storyline of the game. Once you collect all nine flowers, you will unlock "The Florist" trophy.

Nornir Chests

Nornir Chests are puzzle chests that always contain either Idunn Apple (Health Upgrade) or Horn of Blood Mead (Rage Upgrade). No matter which Nornir chest you open first, you will get an apple first, then a horn, then an apple again, and so on. There are a total of 35 such chests in the game.

Odin's Ravens

You must find all the Odin's Ravens to complete the "Eyes of Odin" favor. When you find one of Odin's Ravens, you need to destroy it with one of your weapons. Once you've destroyed enough of them (6/12/18/28/38/48), return to the Raven Tree in Niflheim to open the unlocked legendary chest and receive rewards for doing that.

Passage

Passages, entrances, and similar places. Not all of them are always open, and sometimes additional conditions must be met in order to pass through them.

Relics

A total of 14 relics can be obtained in God of War Ragnarök. You will acquire some of them as you progress through the game's main storyline. A few you'll get by visiting various places where you'll have to find and loot a chest or kill an enemy. The last couple you can craft at a blacksmith. For this to be possible you will first have to find the lost page (there are four of them) and get the necessary materials.

Remnants of Asgard

The Remnants of Asgard will become available when the main storyline of the game is completed. After the credits the favor "The Last Remnants of Asgard" should appear in your journal. Your task is to find the remnants scattered throughout the realms and destroy the Einherjar guards in the area. Once you've done that you'll be able to loot the red chest you find nearby. In the chests you will find Fortified Remnants and Tempered Remnants - resources that can be used to upgrade your shields and armor.

There are 15 rifts in total across the Nine Realms, and closing them is essential for fully upgrading your gear, especially the Draupnir Spear.

Yggdrasil's Dew

In God of War Ragnarök, Yggdrasil's Dew is a valuable collectible that provides a permanent +2 boost to one of Kratos' core stats. They are exclusively found while boating and they appear as glowing, blue bulbs hanging from tree branches or rock formations over water.
