Quest Group: Tales of Tsushima
Location: Izuhara
To start this quest find a cabin in the woods near Kuta Grasslands in the southeastern part of Ariake. You will find several wounded men inside it.
The woods near Kuta Farmstead have seen more Mongol patrols than usual - and there are whispers of merchants traveling the area safely. I need to find out what's happening in those woods.
Rewards:
Talk to one of the men and you'll hear from him about a merchant working with the Mongols. He has an "iron mark" that guarantees him safe passage. They tried to take that mark away from him but they failed and they had to run away. They'll also tell you where you can find the merchant's wagon.
I found some injured men who survived a Mongol attack. They mentioned an "iron mark" that allows the bearer to travel the roads safely. Even past Mongols. I'll search for this iron mark where the men were attacked, near the merchant's cart.
Go to the waypoint and examine the corpses lying around.
When you do that, you will be able to examine the cart. Not only will you not find an iron mark on it, but you'll be suddenly attacked by the Mongols.
Eliminate all attackers. When you do that, you will come to the conclusion that you should go back to the men hiding in the cabin and warn them.
Go back to the cabin. Unfortunately, you were late and the Mongols got here before you. Talk to the only, still alive but deadly wounded survivor. He'll ask you to save the iron mark merchant because it's his brother. They wanted to steal his mark so he wouldn't dishonor his family anymore.
Look for the tracks outside the cabin.
Then follow the tracks...
...until you reach a house where the Mongols are holding the merchant.
The merchant is naturally being held inside the house. To free him you'll have to kill all the Mongols around.
When you do that, you will be able to talk to the merchant. You will inform him of the death of his brother and this tale will be over.
