Prerequisites: To play this tale, you must first complete the tale The Broken Blacksmith.
You will be able to start this quest after completing "The Broken Blacksmith" quest. Go to Aoi Village and find Kenji there.

Talk to Kenji and he will tell you that he has decided to help the villagers and about the problems he has encountered. The Mongols not only seized all the food, but also took hostages and it is unknown where their camp is located.
I was surprised to find Kenji on a farm in Tsutsu. He claimed to be helping the farmers keep their food out of Mongol hands. I suggested an ambush. He said it wouldn't be that easy. Nothing with Kenji ever is....
Follow Kenji to the beach where there is another shipment of food and drink prepared for the Mongols. One of the barrels is empty and Kenji wants you to hide in it and thus get to the Mongol camp. Do it.
When you get there, you'll automatically come out of the barrel.Kill the Mongols and then talk to one of the captives. He'll be pissed at Kenji for getting them into this mess.
Kenji will come to camp and tell you what he did. He made a deal with Mongols but he gave them straw and wood chips instead of food, which made them angry and caused the problems. Well, at least he had good intentions.
