Prerequisites: To play this tale, you must first complete the tale The Headman.
This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Headman" tale.
(3 of 9) Lady Masako and I are on the hunt for Headman Sadao, one of the conspirators behind her family's murder. Masako has captured Sadao's wife, hopeful she'll reveal where the traitor is hiding. I fear for the woman if she doesn't talk soon.
Adachi Estate

Go to Adachi Estate and talk to Masako. She'll tell you she couldn't get any information out of Hina and ask you to try.
Lady Masako and I are on the hunt for Headman Sadao, one of the conspirators behind her family's murder. Sadao's wife claims to have no knowledge of where he's hiding. Masako's patience grows thin, but I have faith the woman will lead us to her husband.
Enter the house and talk to Hina. She'll look very scared, and she'll still claim to have already told you everything she knows.
Exit the house and speak with Masako. Then, walk with her to a nearby resting area. Sit next to her and play a tune on the flute for her. When you do this, you'll hear Hina's screams coming from the house.
Run back to the house. Unfortunately, Hina was killed. Masako will tell you to look for the assassin's tracks.
Leave the house and find the assassin's tracks.
Follow his footprints and you will eventually reach the place where you will see that the assassin has been captured by the Mongols. As you need the information that he has, you must rescue him.
When you kill the Mongols, approach and release the assassin who turns out to be fatally wounded Hachi, Sadao's brother. Besides explaining why he killed Hina, he won't be able to tell you anything because he'll die from his wounds after a while.
Search his corpse and you'll find a supply map. Masako will tell you to go to the refugee camp and ask the local monk in charge about the map and this tale will end.
After completing this tale, you will be able to play the tale The Traitor.
