Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quests A Hidden Weakness, Fire From Heaven, Royal Fox Hunt.

You will receive this quest after completing three other quests "A Hidden Weakness", "Fire From Heaven" and "Royal Fox Hunt".

Quest stages of Dark Before Dawn

1. Return to Sigfred's Camp / Speak to the allies at the camp

Return to Sigfred's Forward Camp and talk to Goll. She will tell you that Sigfred and Toka are not at the camp so you will have to wait for them.

2. Rest and wait for Sigfred

To wait, sit on the bench near the tree on the hill.

3. Sleep before the siege begins

Go to sleep in one of the tents located in the camp.

In the morning you will be awakened by Sigfred's fiery speech after which the attack will begin.

Using the explosives you planted, the bridge will be destroyed...

...and the first confrontation will take place - yours and Ebels'.

4. Kill Ebels

You will be facing Ebells and three regular soldiers. It is best to get rid of these soldiers at the beginning. Ebells is treated as a boss, but he won't pose much of a challenge. Try to avoid his attacks, especially when his sword is on fire, and counterattack and you should defeat him relatively quickly.

After defeating Ebells, the city gate will be destroyed and the way to the main part of the city will be made open. This will conclude this quest and the next one will begin.
