This quest begins automatically after you sail into the open sea upon completing the quest "The One With the Gun".

Quest stages of Plantain!
1. Dock at Great Inagua
Return to Great Inagua in any way you like - you can sail there or use the fast travel option.
2. Meet Lucy at the tavern
Head to the tavern and stand by the railing to wait for Lucy. A cutscene will trigger in which Lucy tells Edward a bit about her family.
3. Follow Lucy
Follow Lucy through the village toward the villa until she offers to race you for the rest of the distance.
4. Reach the villa
Sprint to the villa. Whether you finish first or second does not matter at all.
Once you arrive, a cutscene will trigger in which Lucy gives Edward her grandfather's pistols.
Baldwin's Golden Pistols
Rare Pistol. Inextricably tied to the fall of the Baldwin name, these pistols claimed the lives of at least two of their owners' family. They are likely to claim many more.
