This is the second Officer Quest you complete alongside your Master Gunner - Deadman. It begins automatically after completing the previous quest, "No Box Dark Enough".

Edward and Deadman go to Crooked Island, Deadman's childhood home.

All Love Must End

Quest stages of All Love Must End

1. Reach Crooked Island

Fast travel is not available, so you must sail to the island on your own ship. As you approach the island, you will see that it has been attacked by British soldiers. You and Deadman will automatically go ashore.

Reach Crooked Island

2. Rescue the villagers

You must save four people in total. You start at the docks - head forward, and after a moment, you will reach a spot where four soldiers are guarding two prisoners. Take out the two standing closest to you with well-placed headshots, then finish off the remaining two soldiers. Once they are all dead, free the prisoners.

Rescue the villagers

A bit further north, a single soldier is guarding one prisoner. If you quickly jump across the wooden posts to reach him, he will not have time to realize what is happening. Kill him and free the prisoner.

Rescue the villagers

The last prisoner is on the east beach, guarded by four soldiers. Take them out in whatever way suits you best and free the final prisoner.

Rescue the villagers

For example, you can sneak up on them from the south - a leaf pile will help you with this - and start by quickly taking down the two standing next to each other with a double assassination. Then finish off the rest.

3. Go to Deadman's house

Head to the west side of the island with Deadman, where his home - or rather, its ruins - is located.

Interact with it to trigger a cutscene that will complete this quest and unlock the next one - Very Little, But Something.
